  1. But he could be right, couldn’t he? Hans has averaged 6.67 in his two meetings at Poole this year with only one win in nine rides. If Leicester go r/r for him, which seems sensible, then every other rider is eligible to take his rides. The only way Leicester would be weaker would be if they use a guest other than Bomber
  2. What would be a “dodgy ruling”? Getting a special dispensation for a replacement for Hans? Has anyone in the team suggested that’s what the Panthers are trying to do or is all of this just fan speculation?
  3. Chris Harris fits for Andersen. That’s one move that would certainly strengthen Leicester
  4. Don’t BV and Leicester use the same paramedics team?
  5. We all have an opinion. Still, you probably don’t need to worry as I gather he’ll likely not be at Wolves next year.
  6. I don’t think anyone is having a go at the duo…….just one half
  7. He started only his second season (I think) in British speedway on 5.27 and finished on 6.95 and he’s still only 22. What more did you expect?
  8. This has been a holding year with Eurosport as it looks like British speedway along with the GPs will be shown under the Discovery+ identity. And maybe with different commentators for both the UK product and the worldwide feed? Although Kelvin does a solid job, Nigel has come across as disinterested and error strewn this year, almost like someone who knows his time is up. It’s a shame, really, because they used to make a good team but that just hasn’t happened this year. I’m not sure who could or would replace him - hopefully not another ex-rider - but I think both Nigel and speedway would benefit from a parting of the ways…..in my opinion.
  9. The fine for forfeiting would be substantially higher than the wage cost. Is there maybe disagreement between the Chairman and the Vice-Chairman when one is clearly taking the proverbial out of the other with team line ups, home and away?
  10. The only one that might have been considered ahead of one of the five is Kubera, but he lost out because there were already four Poles in the field. As far as Morris is concerned, he’s employed by FIM not the promoters and has been the best race director by far.
  11. I think you’re getting confused! Holder was injured at Coventry on 5 July 2013 and didn’t race again that season. Hancock was brought in to help Poole make the play offs a month later - he made his debut at Poole on 5 August 2013, long before the cut off. Initially, he was only signed for a few meetings but he was persuaded to stay to the end of the season on the grounds that it was his best chance to win his only UK league championship. Which he managed
  12. A trust can be set up in whatever way the initial contributors, also know as the settlers, decide, by way of a trust deed. Thereafter, the trustees have the sole power to ensure that monies are spent according the deed. The deed should say how trustees are appointed and how they can be removed. So, the above comments really only define how a supporters’ club operates but could also apply to a trust as long as that is how the deed is written.
  13. Shame they threw out the “professional foul” rule which would have made his team partner start off 15 metres in the re-run
  14. That’s one of your best……here fishy fishy
  15. That’ll be a huge loss for Redcar if he’s out. Allen, Sargeant and the two reserves are the only ones who can take his rides. He’s averaging over 7 so r/r might struggle to deliver that
  16. My recollection is that he often gets caught out. Average fixing (failed) at Edinburgh and an August “sun-off” that resulted in Glasgow needing a referee’s consent before they could call off a meeting come to mind
  17. Chairman vs Vice Chairman. Who’ll be most cheesed off that Dan Thompson won’t be allowed to ride?
  18. Thanks. That’s what I expected. Dan is about the same stage as Robert was this time last year as far as Poland is concerned, but still well behind on the international scene. But which one will get the nod for the SON? The home specialist or the more experienced rider?
  19. Who is higher in the Polish league averages, Bewley or Lambert?
  20. On the basis of who attracts the better crowds, I think Poole win that hands down. TBH, I find the speed at the NSS exhilarating, the racing less so. Last Monday’s meeting was a good case in point, in my view.
  21. I think the track at Poole has been awesome for years. Just look at the old stuff and you’ll realise that no one had a smooth track and yet nowadays everyone wants something like a supermarket car park. You have to ride hard and fast to score well at Poole. You only have to ride fast at the NSS. I know which one I prefer
