think we need squads of 8 or 10 semi pro riders . much tighter controls on engine state of tune , tyres that can last 3 or 4 meetings . basicly back to 1970 , some sort of second half for the riders who dont make the team each week to keep them interested , If tv don't want to pay a fair fee to cover the loss on the gate , ditch it . that's about the only way speedway can operate lower admission without losing money ,

I find it odd the campaign group have no interest in the bees riding in NL or at leicester , and since the backtrack from initially being against the Bees at leicester have said on more than one occasion .it's up to the individual whether they go to leicester and support the Bees or not , it will not affect what they are doing , so why are you on a Coventry bees NL thread in the first place , I'll tell you something which may be to your benefit , if you are going to get defensive and start attacking everyone who doesn't see things your way ,you'll pretty soon find you are losing support . quite frankly your attitude towards anyone not seeing things your way does your cause no favours at all , you want to dig your heels in and make enemies of people you should be garnering support from fine , have a bit of integrity get on with your campaign and leave others to their own opinion

and the new govt scheme of making planning permission easier to help ease the housing crisis brought about by years of open door policy hasn't helped , it has actually created a relatively new phenomenon .land banking . they buy land they have no intention of building on , the gov.t helps push the planning through ,then they just sit back and watch the value increase , I would stake money on it , Brandon estates are not at all bothered by the failure to get planning this time . and even less bothered about any campaign groups . I get that , those are in the main the people who are not attending , but as far as I'm aware ,there's only one who actively tries to thwart Hortons efforts running speedway anywhere , as we have already seen from past experience ,Horton plays his cards pretty close to his chest as regards what goes on in the background , he's not on local radio every week giving people false hope either , personally I don't see speedway ever returning to Brandon or the Coventry area , so as long as there are enough people watching at leicester to keep the team running and a few youngsters get a chance to race and get paid whats the problem

as far as i can recall . Milton Keynes were doing ok , until the BSPA decided they would much rather have Terry Cheneys bond to share between them ,and levied ridiculous fines until it collapsed . something i can see happening to Stoke shortly ,
