  1. Time to move on now from this sorry and damaging saga, what's done is done time to make belle vue the success it should be
  2. Just been reading Torquay united forum and it doesn't fill you with hope , GI want the current stadium for houses and are promising a new stadium (sound familiar ?) and as one person said "gaming international has been around for 80years in one shape or another , their entire history is based on buying sports clubs and f***ing them over for personal gain " also read a bit from Swindon greyhounds and their fans are asking why no work is going on
  3. if it ever does get built I don't think it's going to big enough to have any other sports , it's basically with a bit over the current car park , if they put a greynound track there too I think the speedway is going to be the size of mildenhal
  4. its not just riders owed money there are plenty of riders who owe money and even a couple of cases of riders declaring themselves bankrupt owing a lot of money and it wasn't like they hadn't been paid
  5. I don't rubbish your comments I read them with interest, I was just saying that you seem to have an axe to grind with your old man and would you still be so open if you were involved in the sport not whoever was in charge, my point in all this is some things are better kept out of the public
  6. while transparency maybe seen a good thing , be honest would the sport in its present form run if everything was out in the open ? As I said there are a few on here who know what goes on and have to bite there lip including yourself , you may be talking now as you apear to have an axe to grind with your old man but would you be so open if you were still involved ?
  7. the bspa tell you everything they want you to hear and in a lot of cases that can be a good thing , there is a few on here that know what goes on , not just at belle vue but in general speedway and sometimes it's best kept secret
  8. its not just belle vue and it's not just riders , this is widespread in speedway but speedway continues to bury its head and pretend all is rosey
  9. The empty looking stadium for a tv match is the problem , I watch a polish match on a Sunday and see 17,000 zeilona gora fans buzzing and even before the bikes are on the frack I want to be there , a crowd attracts a crowd attracts a crowd ,for a tv match instead of sky paying the promotors a fee sky should take over the pay for that match and make it free to attend , get the place full and people will look in on tv and think that looks fun I want to go and experience some live speedway
  10. Just got message off wolves historian to say he was a second halfer at wolves in 77 and rode for a wolves team in Sweden in that year
  11. I can't say I've ever of him or find any records of him on rider database , maybe he second half rider ?
  12. it says on the report the current stadium is to be demolished in September , wonder if that deadline will be met ?
  13. does anybody understand the rules these days ?
  14. thats what I am talking about phase 1 of stadium to be completed and handed over in march
  15. excellent if your talking about the houses , I read that phase 1 is to be handed over in march , not sure what phase 1 is or who it's to handed to
  16. it was but looking at the plans last night as to where it is going to be , there doesn't seem to be a lot of room
  17. I may of missed this but are belle vue riding on Fridays this season ?
  18. so it's basically going to be where the car park is ? If so it's going to be a tiny track
  19. Popped in there yesterday , nothing to report ,Are there any up to date plans drawings etc for the new stadium that we can view ? To see where exactly the track is going to be
  20. bit it wasn't belle vue money it was the councils so really belle vue have no say unless the mcc say so
  21. but it wasn't belle vue money it was the councils , bv were buying or leasing the finished product , do you visit the production line and oversee production when you buy a car ?
  22. on the whole modern riders do care about the sport and it's fans but there is a definite change in attitudes in riders of today , have a conversation with a rider from the 70s 80s or even the 90s and you can feel their passion of being a rider and the sport ,you don't get that passion very much today , I read one rider who said he preferred another sport but he gets paid to do speedway so speedway it is , but I have met a couple who couldn't care less , it's just about the money for them
