  1. I haven’t called anyone thick and I’m not entering a popularity contest, I’m showing you imo the wrong direction for the sport and in particular the GP , if you don’t like it then fine, couldn’t care less either way, I guessing your of a certain age and not really on the pulse of what ticks in today’s society, neither am I and quite frankly hate the things like influencers and the like but I understand the general public want to be entertained and feel like they getting the best for their pound and a one off meeting at belle vue isn’t going to attract anyone but the hard core speedway fan and no matter how good the racing is that will never change
  2. They scaled back because of greed and complacency not because the were losing money ,Enjoy your speedway because sadly your short sightedness will be the end of speedway in the uk, good racing or not
  3. I suggest all those who disagree with my points make a point of attending BSB weekends or the darts or even Weston beach race and see how they attract and entertain the masses which keep coming back year after year
  4. Yes because the organisers scaled back massively the entertainment and moved the main focus away from town center, as I said in an earlier post if you had bothered to read Cardiff had run it’s corse and needed a change but belle vue wasn’t it unless the organisers made an effort and actually created a small village maybe on the fields opposite the track with stalls, beer tents, bands or whatever but made it an event not just a meeting
  5. Can you explain why belle vue crowds have been poor this year cause as you say the racing is exceptional ?
  6. And why did Cardiff attendance go up for first few yew years before dropping off ? I’ll give you a clue it’s nothing to do with the track or racing
  7. Another short sighted post who can’t see the bigger picture and clearly doesn’t look past the speedway borders
  8. If I’m wrong then any other motorsport is wrong, try looking past the end of you nose to see how other sports do their premier events and the crowds they attract, just for the record I am teetotal and have been for 30 years so the pub thing isn’t my thing
  9. And it’s that short sightedness that is why last night we only got around 5000 to our premier event no matter how good the racing is, every other sport realises it’s a festival not an event, even Grasstrack abroad gets the festival idea, motorcycle gets it, car racing gets its but not you
  10. Wasn’t referring to riders or ex riders, I’m talking about speedways lifelong freeloaders
  11. I would like to see the GP in the northwest somewhere, somewhere like Newcastle or in that area but it doesn’t really matter where it is as long as there is something for the travelling supporters to enjoy of which before or after the meeting last night there wasn’t, we all want great racing but the GP is a circus and when it comes to town it needs to be an event
  12. A noteable thing last night, with discovery not given out freebie tickets like candy very few of speedways life freeloaders stayed at home rather than actually pay to watch speedway
  13. And as quick as the meeting finished discovery end the broadcast and show some documentary about some car racing, they are the promoters, they own the whole show and have the tv channels to promote the sport and nothing, it’s time we got discovery out of speedway they are useless
  14. Neither Kurtz bewley or zmarzlik put a foot wrong in that final and apart from position none of them can improve on that, that was 3 riders at their absolute peak and was a joy to watch
  15. All got same points, wins 2nds etc and if you use qualifying they both finished above him
  16. Don’t think I’ve seen lambert get muscled out of so many points as he has tonight
