  1. I remember P Starke advertising himself on the forum saying he was keen, had good equipment and would somebody give him a chance. Good luck lad.....after Saturday
  2. Should be a good meeting with a few riders capable of winning. Always enjoyed it best from the bar on the 3rd & 4th bends, wish they'd open it again. Cook or Kennett for me.
  3. the track record at DP is 62.7, in the 70s it was well over 70 secs. The track hasn't changed that much..I think the skill of the riders is a factor. That's a generalisation, not about any one incident.
  4. Joking apart speedway must be one of the hardest sports to follow with injuries, doubling up and international commitment etc. I've gone off over hyped football a lot but at least teams have squad players to come in and fans don't have to be wondering if they'll have a team all week. I know squads & 6 man teams have been mentioned for speedway, squads especially seem unworkable with full time riders. The sport needs a good shake up.
  5. Better meeting than the score suggests but expected more from Bellago. Hope Josh is ok, another case of a rider getting injured in an incident that wasn't his fault, unable to miss Matt who came off while leading. Matt had one more ride then withdrew. Danny King is class and will be sought after next season, Hansen great to watch and has the showman about him, definitely a crowd pleaser. No luck for Sheffield with Garrity out too, just wish Comets could get something from away meetings, was good to see Rusty winning a race.
  6. Yeh I stand corrected, memory playing tricks on my ageing brain, he wasn't very good at the start though.
  7. I may be wrong but I've got the impression Josh can be a bit stroppy after races, that's what I meant. Don't think I've seen that about Jason.
  8. I agree, Castagnas first visit I think, Josh Bates good but can be a bit of a nutter and they kept faith with Sissis last season, good test for our reserves, should be a good meeting.
  9. Pity about that, very entertaining rider. We'll now probably have the dubious pleasure of seeing Danny have six rides mmm
  10. Hope the weather and having Sheffield here gets a few more fans in, usually good meetings, pity Steads missing though. Strange that the Comets are now the only team to be unbeaten at home (touch wood) but haven't even got a point away. The knockers will have a field day if they do lose at home.
  11. Would it have happened for a team not riding at home?
  12. Hopefully a solution will be found for Berwick to continue, been running a long time and would be a miss.
  13. Josh moved before the tapes went up in heat one, then missed the start, good guest though. Glad we won, Kenneth Hansen class, great to watch.
  14. Wells was in a GP semi final qualifier, scored 3 pts so didn't qualify. I had to miss the meeting too too but by all accounts very good with plenty of passing.
  15. It would be good to get a point, as always though it's ifs and buts.
  16. I wonder if Hansens EL average was partly due to beating the fast track reserves and doubling up riders It's not what it used to be. He has looked good at times though.
  17. I should have quoted the earlier post, hope Ben recovers well, always good to watch
  18. Mr Google says so and E to G is 46, so is about half way
  19. Just checked, 24, farther than I thought.
  20. Edinburgh's track isn't 30 mile away surely
