  1. Kyle's an asset and hopefully he'll still be a Comet.
  2. It's the riders having to double up that makes it worse for the fans, they have to double up cos there ain't enough riders. Fans would like to see their team riding every week, not National League replacements for reserves injured riding elsewhere. I know the riders need the money etc but the sport is a complete mess, apparently Eastbourne, an Elite team club are going Natioal league next year. I know the Comets have a few doubling up, this is about speedway in general though, it needs changes.
  3. I remember hoping Stoney wouldn't get injured guesting for other teams, he did sometimes though. Then it was No 1's like Lawson and Kauko doubling up. Kauko broke his collar bone riding for Lakeside and didn't ride for the Comets again. Now it seems that all 7 members of the team can double up. There's obviously not enough riders to go round and something drastic imo needs to be done to save British speedway, we could have less riders in a team for a start. At the moment a lot of supporters don't feel as if they have a team to support. Other than that how about some mergers eg Edinburgh/Glasgow, Newcastle/Redcar, Leicester/Coventry, Kings Lynn/Peterboro and Rye House/Lakeside for a start. Yeh, tongue in cheek but this year we'll have yet another AGM vital to the future of British speedway, all the doubling up has made it a whole lot worse.
  4. They wouldn't be a foreign country on Friday, lots of negotiations first. March 2016 is Salmond's target date.
  5. The Young Shield was ridiculed by some but they were good nights when we won and the season finished on a high. Would be nice if they could all click together but probably E v Som in final.
  6. Can't make it, hope Mr Stead puts a few more on the crowd. Home wins for the Comets me thinks
  7. Not surprised, the crazy rules and constant changes do take some keeping up with.
  8. Fair enough but is qualification not based on averages?
  9. It's on the Facebook page because someone asked them, it's not the first time fixtures will have been completed after the cut off date for the playoffs. "Scrapped" shouldn't been used.
  10. "Scrapped" was an unfortunate term, it's been confirmed on Comets Facebook page that these fixtures will be run, as seemed likely all along
  11. Still waiting for team news, Howarh riding or not or who's guesting.
  12. Howarth was struggling at 2 as well. He has improved lately, especially at home .
  13. Rusty and Piper rode for Glasgow not Workington in the first meeting
  14. Can't be there tomorrow and couldn't have been there tonight either. I' d think all the doubling up, riders injured when riding for other teams along with some results are putting people off plus of course different nights and no continuation. Just hope they win. S/way needs shook up from top to bottom.
  15. I was criticised on here last year for explaining the Rugby League play-offs, they seem common to many sports. As for football, the team that finishes third have done so over the full season, the financial reward are high in the Premiership and the same argoment is valid imo.
  16. Good to see Charles doing so well, always had the potential.
  17. Good to hear that Andres ok, not at his peak with the Comets but still had some great races.
  18. I know it depends on how things are said but I'm wondering if ther's a case for libel in suggeting these meeting were not held "deliberately" I guess Laura is absolutely gutted at what's happened.
