Plymouth V Edinburgh 18th May
msc1874 replied to crazysue's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Superb tonight monarchs. Nobody really rated our team, but we look strong and have by far and away the best number 1 in the league. Keep it up boys -
I hate the TR rule. Farce team works hard to get ten up, then it blows up in one heat. It's a joke. I preferred the tactical sub rule. Hate the TR it's a joke...

Mitchell Davey Joins The Monarchs
msc1874 replied to ekimba's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Mitchell made a solid debut. Poor gate in heat 2 but there after looked good. Great 5-1 with Vissing over Lemon. The boy looks like he is moving forward. Pleasing debut. Did all you can ask of him -
Edinburgh V Plymouth (pl) 17/5/13 @ 7.30pm
msc1874 replied to Mr Blobby's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Pijper and Cook were awesome tonight. Proctor just couldn't get in position out of turn 1. He tried everything when behind to be fair. Never got any clear track in any of his heats bar heat 1 when he made a mess of turns 3 and 4. Kurtz was fast and on pace. Lemon was in and out. Schramm did his job. For monarchs top two were awesome. Claus got shoved out in his first ride, was good there after. Tabaka was great his pass on lemon and Kurtz was great. Max had a poorer night, but is learning. Derek did well after his heat 1 wipe out, Mitchell Davey. Great. Won a big race against Lemon. Poor heat 2 but really value for money there after. -
I'm not a Bandits fan but a few things stick out to me: Take a Ricky Ashworth out any team and your losing double figures home and away. Had he been riding then maybe results would have swung Bandits way. The riding order. I don't know but maybe a rejig of the pairings. I am not convinced its the answer but worth a try? I agree who's out there to replace anyone who's dropped? The only ones who won't probably be in line for the chop are Bellago, Wethers and Ashworth. The reserves are likely to remain, so that leaves maybe 3 possibles to drop and find suitable replacements. It's hard no obvious answers. But Ricky back me be the only missing piece

Edinburgh V Scunthorpe (pl) 3/5/13 @ 7.30pm

Clever....not! Back to the topic. Should be a good match. Can Max win his first race? Weather is fine. Fingers crossed the sun hangs around. -
Off gate 4 and that was it? What gate was cook off in Heat 15. Gate 1. There was an inside line, to well dive bomb if you could make it. As for the heat 15, the ref got it wrong. Tai actually changed or backtracked on his opinion after another replay. Game of opinions, but I'm not really sure what Dyer did. Why argue, there was more positives and selling points for British speedway last night. Perfect no: more positives absolutely

Meeting was a good product. Racing was interesting not over by the first bend. Birks was great value, Howe, Auty, Howarth, Morris and Cook stepped up too. The track was a racers track and it was good tv. The awful refereeing decision in heat 15 when he had replays was awful and spoiled the heat a bit. Dyer rode well too. Scunthorpe showed what a great track it is, great watch. Totally agree and sky pundits changed their minds as well.

Workington V Ipswich (koc) 2nd Leg 27/04/13 7.00pm

Just a sad person who wants a reaction. No clue really about proper constructive discussion mate. Every post this person makes is complete drivel. Just ignore and move on mr B. -
Cook- Cookie barring nearly taking himself off in heat 1, his usual flawless self there after. Derek-looked a bit overly cautious in heat 1 but great and usual reliable self there after. Theo- fast, found lines that nobody else could find. In his only defeat was on the impressive Bellago s exhaust pipe. Max- best meeting so far. Great race to beat the fast Aspergen. Claus- one slow start resulted in him getting filled in and trailing in Stormy s wake. Marcel Helfer- track wasn't great but from scoring positions he seemed to shut off and decide it wasn't for him. Joe Tabaka- solid as ever. Bandits Bellago- started like an express train. Tailed off a bit, but impressed. Smith- one decent ride in heat 7, not great there after. Stormy- mixed bag. Two decent heats. Slipped off in difficult heat 1. Great race with Derek. Didn't always look the fastest. Aspergen- improved as the heats went on. Attacked the track and provided good action. Edberg- so, so not the greatest night. Hard heats and slog. Barrett- see above

Berwick V Edinburgh (league Cup) 20/4/13 @ 7pm
msc1874 replied to Mr Blobby's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Early days. Let the team bed in and I think Berwick will be in the mix. Ashworth is a big loss, but with him back that team will win more than it loses at home. Away they certainly will compete. -
Wright deserves a chance
-
Well pal some would agree with that point, Glasgow are not the only guilty party here. Charles would surely be cheaper to employ in terms of travel, accommodation, visa costs etc...
-
That's it. Lad is British, keen and could do a better job than some currently in the PL
-
Biggest test will come when max goes to reserve and we lose Joes scoring power from down there.

Rye House V Glasgow (koc) - 20th April 2013
msc1874 replied to Mimmo's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
It's a long hard season for Glasgow. A few nights ahead like this I fear. Joe Screen is a legend in British speedway, but can he compete with the likes of Craig Cook, Ben Barker, Jason Doyle on a regular basis. Night after night. Race by race, definitely. But maybe not over the course of a season. James Wright. Looked ok at British semi, scored ok at Rye. A third heat leader who will struggle for consistency. I put James Grieves in that boat too. These three cannot carry the other 4 on their shoulders. The young Aussies are learning. Joe Jacobs seems to be doing his job. But I fear tigers lack enough firepower and this may be the mark of their season -
Sheffield V Workington 18/ 04/2013@ 7.45pm
msc1874 replied to graz gp's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Sheffield have chosen a brave selection. Simon Stead getting injured scuppered tonight's match. Simon is pivotal to the team. If he's not fit or riding the team will struggle. Time to settle in is key. Hope Simon is ok. -
At risk of being shot down in flames here, told the lad has had his chances etc...I have to say that Charles Wright looked very fast, steady and competitive in the British semi last night. He gated Chris Harris etch, beat the likes of Richard Lawson, Derek Sneddon and Kyle howarth. All decent scalps. Craig Cook commented on twitter to say as much. I am not suggesting Charles is suddenly going to become a PL smash hit, but surely he is a better option than some of the other guys out their. He's British and obviously keen, he is better than a Mitchell Davey etc...just my opinion, think the PL is about giving these guys a ride. And him a chance to prove he's worth it. Yes he's had chances before, but so have countless others.

It's still early days in the season, teams are still bedding in and Leicester I am sure will pick up. Kauko is not as consistent as he once was but I think he looks down on power, he's a top rider and I'm sure he as much as anyone else will want to address it. Good reserves are of a premium. Against Edinburgh the reserves encountered the best reserve in the league in tabaka. Time will tell. Wish Adam a speedy return

Would Helen Daniels qualify for a sponsorship visa?

Can you not just be grateful that your promotion have found a way of securing the clubs financial future moving into 2013. You have a great promotion. I don't see what your actual issue is...
