Rye House V Workington Comets 17-5-2015
jenga replied to Gazza66's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
the person i eel really sorry for is tony jackson. knowing he has to travel there with no a cat in h3lls chance of getting any form of result. then has to travel back. i would like to see us get the rub of the green, but its going to have to be a BIG rub . still hope the lads put up a good show and come away with some pride. looking forward to seeing rye fans making comments about the meeting.. 1 heat leader , two second strings and 3 , 3 point reserves are not going to get the result we want.. BUT YOU NEVER KNOW.. -

just when there was so many positives from last nigh. as much as i admire k.k.h on a bike . how many more meetings is he going to miss ? my heart goes out to the promotion. Workington are just going to be going through the motions at rye. no real pride in this result can be gained from this meeting for rye house.just one fixture less for Workington riders = less cash. this n.l. guest rule has prob knocked a few travelling supporters off the rye gate.just like the Redcar fiasco.. but that the rule and we must obey the mickey mouse people who call themselves the B.S.P.A... thought we had got away from the peter karllson days of other clubs having a bigger pull on riders.. -

look into the future and all will be revealed... get some batteries in the calculator and start working numbers out.. minus one. while its tough, its still speedway, but not as we know it. roll on June and ask yourself a question, why matty was signed ? hope he is still here. ( clue) answers on this forum. ... here,s another clue. man utd do it all the time... lets see who has the brains .lol. -

in a round about way i was trying to stop Glasgow fans crying out as if they were missing Christmas . i know its difficult to organise days and times to suit every one , more so when you are ground sharing with landlords who have annual festivals/shows. i have no doubt there would have been a few Glasgow fans travelling down, but also a lot of keyboard warriors (like myself ) wanting their two quids worth of blood because they think its a ploy to not race p/borough on that. maybe some riders could be missing. one poster sticks out and sounded the battle drum as if they were really hard done by. the court thing was too see just how many people would think about taking that route. its ok coming on here and threatening to do things, but it takes lot more guts to do it. so that's my take on things and as some one pointed out to me. its a forum and i choose what and where to post at my leisure at any time. so that's my reply. not an offensive one, but a general take on things... cheers .. . -

and there go ALL the panthers fans again, wanting riders who score well to be signed up. i want , i want , i want. big kids in a toy shop.. -
having a look at previous meeting times for 4 laps held at Redcar this year. there is no big difference in racing times recorded at last nights meeting. they are still within 1 second of normal racing time and some are quicker than previous lap times. but riders safety is the most important thing. brain haveagonot should hand his promoters licence over and give it to some one who could breath life back into Redcar speedway. what about Pearson and Tatum ? they talk the talk naa , better not. sorry for travelling fans and home supporters , nothing said on the pa and little response from the guy that matters..
-
should have got mary berry on the tractor. i am sure she could have whipped the track into shape in no time..... who is doing the cake mix at Redcar these days ?
-
are we heading for a sludge off.c,mon the sludge.lol. and that,s how NOT to run a speedway club.
-
after looking at the redcar team i fancy workington to do the bizz. grav out androyno to take 1 of his rides, the rest by reserves.

every one needs to get their paperwork together and put it to judge rinder. no fantasy hotels and stuff , just proper paperwork showing dates, hotels and any other relevant paperwork that will be required in a court of law. if you do it , it will be to the benefit of all. until then its all fantasy. i can understand meetings getting cancelled for rain etc. but when its unavailable when its in the fixtures . its down to p/borough to look forward into the availability of the race track WELL IN ADVANCE of poss meeting/venue clashes. panthers fault whether you like it or not. management should have looked properly at all aspects of the fixture list.. -

the wind and rain normally keeps the fog away from the stadium. -
hmm, shame. we always went to Redcar, but it seems that the pull isn't there any more.
-
comets updates are also experiencing difficulty in sourcing a texter. could be a bit iffy for meeting txts. any one i knew that was going, pulled out when they heard about both teams probs..
-
that's going to be a tough call sue.
-
i know a few who were coming over in cars, but now saying they are not going to part with 16 pounds to see a sadly depleted side. could have had a few points in the bag. but that's out of the window now. maybe a rain off could save the comets an embarrassment. i think even the Redcar fans will be disappointed in this team.. big home win here.

i don't think the Workington management team fought matty,s case hard enough initially and failed to push his case . that's my opinion. -

SO WE WONDER WHY SPEEDWAY GETS no SUPPORT IN THE UK ! .. how can a rule be correct at the start of the season in not allowing matty to ride and then suddenly turn full circle and give him the ok. nothing has changed , matty hasnt ridden any where this season to change the visa issue . workington now an awful lot weaker than the weakest team in the league. kiss goodbye to ANY sort of silverware and picking up that wooden spoon. i thought our management team were the dogs b//////s , turns out not. why dont the management try to get campo back in, ? really disilusioned with the sport right now. looking like i am putting any extra cash i have into paint and materials for the house. stuff the speedway in general . i have now become 1 of the lost supporters (paying wise ) to the uk speedway scene. truly, truly abysmal. -
BITES is the word you are looking for you crazy angler !
-
sheff have to lose stead, get away from r/r. redeclare with another rider replacing stead to be able to fit every ones wish list riders in..
-
our chippy has lost its cook, any chance of getting Jamie Oliver in. na, thought not.rule changes because Peterborough want them ? stop going on about wanting riders that cant fit in. if the speedway people allowed it, we would all be doing it.
