To be fair ... That is the usual fayre at most tracks in the UK... Hopefully the score can remain close enough to maintain interest even if the racing doesn't ... Add in a couple of decent crowds, with plenty of away fans in attendance, and hopefully we will get two events that actually resemble a professional team sport , and prick some wider interest.

Best of Luck to The Lions tonight... Of the three managers left in, I would suggest most neutrals would be rooting for Stewart Dickson... Always gives an honest balanced appraisal even in defeat... Whilst naturally disappointed he was exceptionally sportsmanlike last year when hammered by the Aces, and magnanimous in defeat... Unlike some who appear to be about to burst into tears and just seems to moan about referees, when they fail, (again)...😁 Come on Max!!!!!

He would have, but as he said all those years ago, he can't use a "compooter" can he?😉😁

2025 Torun SON and SON 2

Nowhere near fully fit... Basically where he gated, he sat, very unlike him... Looked in a lot of pain before his fifth ride... -
Riders seem to have a four to five year progression to pretty much where they end up... Not many do a "Jason Doyle" and leap from a reserve in the UK to being World Champ not too long later in his career. David Norris was another I remember being 3rd HL/Best Second String for a few years then one season becoming very much an international level rider, a level which he maintained... We do seem to hype up any young GB lad who seems to have even a modicum of talent, which must put extra pressure that isn't required on them... Riders who are actually often miles away from the level that the likes of Bewley, Lambert, Woffinden, Loram, Screen and Louis etc etc were at at a similar age ...

Hopefully two decent race tracks get delivered for both meetings... Two evenly matched teams should deliver a close semi final result overall... Max Fricke is key for Leicester and just seems to have gone off the boil a bit recently from his level a couple of months ago.. Hope he has two good meetings....

Maybe need some grading? Eg If you cannot get an 'A' grade you get 2 x 'B's'.. With a mean average so no team can get the best rider in every grade? Scrap the RS system as, even in a five rider team, the No5 rider will be pretty much "development" level I would think... There will need to be lots of "greater good" compromise I would suggest for it to work...

A chance to do the radical reset that should have taken place post Covid... Let's hope they have learned from the mistakes they made the last time they made "one big league", and every team gets to be competitive this time...

Having all 3 teams "viable" must have been a huge challenge, and would, no doubt, impact who they could bring in for the top tier team.. Especially given the very few "top riders" willing to ride over here at an "affordable price"...
