  1. It really doesn't matter... Mickey Mouse UK Speedway... Just let Bomber ride for "whoever".. Entertainment guaranteed...
  2. We will have Peterborough and Kings Lynn riders in the play offs, so some "lucky losers" could win a title... And/or finish runners up as well....
  3. Where the UK leads, Poland follows... They will have guests next.....
  4. Obvious isnt it? Run the league, done and dusted by August.. Run the Cups in September.. Run the National Championships/League Rider Championships in October... Best weather, school hols, no domestic football to compete with.. Who knows... Winning a league title may even get some publicity.. And sort the guest nonsense out and it might even get a sponsor.....
  5. Mickey for home leg, Minnie for away leg maybe?. NB. Are any of the teams left in got promoters on the MC?...
  6. Pretty clear isnt it? A "season ending injury" is what Fricke has... Therefore, the Aces should be able to sign a replacement... If they so wish....
  7. But those sports have major sponsorship backing Ian... Something, (whilst any rider can ride for any team, on any give night), Speedway will never have... The UK version of the sport obviously, those who run it like a "proper team event" do attract major sponsors...
  8. I might be wrong but I dont think Bomber has guested for the Aces this season... Is that the only Premiership team left for him to have a fiull house? If so, he would have then helped every team to their finishing position... Therefore... Come on "Godders"... "You know it makes sense my san".. "Cushty".. NB Is Cookie riding for a Premiership team? If not could the Aces not use him.. Does OK around Ipswich doesnt he? .. And did well around the NSS at the BF...
  9. Come on.... This is UK "make it up as you go along" Speedway. .. Surely having Bomber there would be in the "interests of it"?
  10. Hasn't that "spookily" happened before?
  11. Anyone throwing darts at the air fence?
  12. Agreed.... And just as crazy in UK Speedway too..
  13. To be fair to them... Since the 28th of March when the Premiership ran the first League Cup match... There have only been 54 days available on a Monday and a Thursday to complete 10 home meetings... In fact, only 52 when you take the SON break out... What chance did they have? Expecting them to run 10 meetings over this time would be asking far too much especially as every rider in the league would be available every single Monday and Thursday due to priority race nights... We will be expecting them to invent fire next....
  14. The Danish model could work over here I reckon... Maybe running four finals instead though?
  15. Just thought that myself... It must be as I am still watching it when my initial thoughts were "If it is the usual Vojens rubbish I will switch over"... Ht 17 a cracker... Track looks like it has been left to slicken off and not get put under gallons of water....
  16. Decent meeting... Makes me wonder how much Bauhaus must pay to sponsor the league given the likes of Zagar and MJJ are at reserve..
  17. Glasgow riders will have ridden many times since their last home meeting.... So it's not likely they will disadvantaged in any way...
  18. Just watching the meeting replay on Eurosport.. Just jumped 5 races. . Utter crap aren't they? .
  19. Just never let the SGP track prep team anywhere near it..
  20. You have to hope they do get asked It would be great to see them at the NSS... Put a thousand on the gate minimum I would say... Watching Woffy, Lambert and Bewley racing for the No1 GB rider position would be great to see..
  21. Well I am 55 today and was "under average" I would have said... Racing wasnt quite always "out of the top drawer" but still very good.. Bewley's pass of King, Howarth's ride round the boards, and Cookie diving across turn 4 in the Final were truly spectacular moments.. Speaking with several in the crowd quite a few mentioned "having to pay twice" was something they resented, but obviously went anyway, so maybe there were also a few who decided not to "pay again" and stayed away? I didnt attend the first one so it didnt impact me but I must admit I may have baulked at paying again.. Scotty seemed to be having words with Godfrey after his last ride, the one he stopped in, and didnt seem too pleased, was there another tyre issue? All in all, another cracking Speedway meeting at the NSS, great to see Dan triumph as clearly head and shoulders above everyone else in the 20 heats of qualifying, and also great to see young Tom get second as it shows real progression for the lad, and definitely one for the future.. And a word for a favourite of mine (Cookie), brilliant to see him back to something like his best...
