I might be wrong but I dont think Bomber has guested for the Aces this season... Is that the only Premiership team left for him to have a fiull house? If so, he would have then helped every team to their finishing position... Therefore... Come on "Godders"... "You know it makes sense my san".. "Cushty".. NB Is Cookie riding for a Premiership team? If not could the Aces not use him.. Does OK around Ipswich doesnt he? .. And did well around the NSS at the BF...

Hasn't that "spookily" happened before?

Anyone throwing darts at the air fence?

Agreed.... And just as crazy in UK Speedway too..

To be fair to them... Since the 28th of March when the Premiership ran the first League Cup match... There have only been 54 days available on a Monday and a Thursday to complete 10 home meetings... In fact, only 52 when you take the SON break out... What chance did they have? Expecting them to run 10 meetings over this time would be asking far too much especially as every rider in the league would be available every single Monday and Thursday due to priority race nights... We will be expecting them to invent fire next....

You have to hope they do get asked It would be great to see them at the NSS... Put a thousand on the gate minimum I would say... Watching Woffy, Lambert and Bewley racing for the No1 GB rider position would be great to see.. -
British Final 2022

Well I am 55 today and was "under average" I would have said... Racing wasnt quite always "out of the top drawer" but still very good.. Bewley's pass of King, Howarth's ride round the boards, and Cookie diving across turn 4 in the Final were truly spectacular moments.. Speaking with several in the crowd quite a few mentioned "having to pay twice" was something they resented, but obviously went anyway, so maybe there were also a few who decided not to "pay again" and stayed away? I didnt attend the first one so it didnt impact me but I must admit I may have baulked at paying again.. Scotty seemed to be having words with Godfrey after his last ride, the one he stopped in, and didnt seem too pleased, was there another tyre issue? All in all, another cracking Speedway meeting at the NSS, great to see Dan triumph as clearly head and shoulders above everyone else in the 20 heats of qualifying, and also great to see young Tom get second as it shows real progression for the lad, and definitely one for the future.. And a word for a favourite of mine (Cookie), brilliant to see him back to something like his best... -
I do get the feeling he is trying to convince himself as much as everyone else by how he is talking... Where a few years ago he lined up at the tapes against the opposition and you could easily see him winning, or at worst running a second, you now look at him lining up and think "he won't win this and could easily be last"... Hopefully wrong, but a big ask to even get top 3 I would suggest given how far behind those riders he now is..

Who does the track prep at these venues? A great race track with garbage racing... (Once again)... When one rider dominates like is happening the least the events need is some decent racing... Is it the home track curators who prepare the tracks or "SGP" ones? If the latter.. Keep them away from the NSS if it gets a GP...

Really? Changing a ridiculous rule that every team in all leagues may need to take advantage of at any given moment? I would suggest unlikely... Turkeys don't vote for Xmas....

Sounds like some away fans attending created some atmosphere.... What a novel situation.... It seems no "rude words" were used, however, even if there was... It generates a bit of rivalry which so many Speedway meetings clearly lack and ultimately suffer from... A shame that every meeting doesn't have at least a coach load of away fans in attendance.. Would give the meeting some meaning...

I seem to remember at Peterborough they stopped the 6 lap Ht15's that used to take place when Sky covered it.. Specifically for the issue that the tyres were wearing too much at that track.. Ten years at least or so ago that we had 6 lap Ht15's on TV matches wasnt it? So not a "new issue" I would suggest...

But you don't need a crystal ball to see where we ALWAYS end up... ie cramming in meetings to complete a season... It will be the same next year, the same the year after that, and the year after that etc etc... Split the season into four sectors from April to November... 1. The "Cup" thingy. - 3 Home meetings per team and a another one for the two finalists. All done by the end of April... 2. The Premiership. - May to the first week of September. Meaning you run the play offs in the better weather and you take the most advantage of the kids being off school. 3. The Pairs - 2nd Week of September to October. Done in three weeks to keep fans interested. 4. All the rest - October. The League Riders Championships, The National Individual Finals, Any Testimonials, Any Individual Comps. That way you would keep interest in the Comps and also get some momentum fan wise through the year. Currently with all comps ending at the same time any succesful tracks cannot build on that success as their season often ends on the night of that success.... It also can mean fans forking out for five or six meetings within a one month salary window (regardless of following a succesful team), on colder evenings where they closely most monitor the weather forecasts, and even "light drizzle" will then keep them away... Sheffield are doing a "three match special" for £50 which highlights they recognise the issue so fair play to them... But not needed really if they all had a structure to their season...
