Fair enough, maybe I'm being overly critical. There is nearly always good racing at the NSS, I just thought that there were a few processional ones (especially early on)

Not the best meeting but there were some really close finishes tonight with three races won by 0.01 sec according to the announcer. Zischke and Cairns are getting better every week and the Aces could afford for Blodorn and Kildermand to have quieter meetings. Oh - and it was 53-37 😊

Same teams as per the rained off Bank Holiday fixture with Ben Cook guesting for Jack Holder, which makes the original programme a but easier to complete. Can't see it being a big crowd tonight though with it having the feel of a 'Dead Rubber' match. Aces 53-37

Kings Lynn certainly gave the Aces a real scare and it took a 5-1 from Big Guns Kurtz and Doyle to effectively kill off the challenge in heat 13. Doyle really seems to be enjoying his time at the NSS and interviews well. Interesting that Dan Bewley was named as the number 12 in the British Final Draw for Saturday. It got a bit of a gasp from the fans! Is it a cunning plan to put an extra thousand on the gate only to be told on Saturday that he's not ready?

Kildemand and Zischke out for the Aces. Depends which version of Max Fricke turns up for the Stars, but I think this might be a bit closer than recent matches at the NSS. Belle Vue should still have too much for them, so 54-36

Agreed. Some great racing despite the scoreline. Leicester tried their best, but it simply wasn't good enough. For the Aces, the improvement in Blodorn, Cook and Cairns has been so evident in recent weeks.

I agree. He seems to be someone who has a long term plan (not heard that in speedway before!) and has definite ideas how the sport should be run. Can only be good for the sport in general if he can deliver. Wonder what the other promoters think of him?

I think the Witches will have too much for the Aces, but not quite enough for the bonus point. The key, as always with Belle Vue is if Kildemand, Blodorn and maybe Zischke can score enough to support Kurtz. Just seen that Chris Harris replaces Doyle, so that makes it even more unlikely that the Aces will prevail. 50-40 Witches.

Some good racing tonight despite the scoreline. Doyle was superb in his first ride with Will Cairns and was a class act all night. Kildemand, Blodorn and Zischke will all feel more confident after scoring well. I'm sure Belle Vue would have lost money though - a very poor attendance and lots of points money to pay out.
