  1. Good top 8 for next year. Gollob a WC if he wants one. Get Wuffy back in this and Neils of course. SEC has been good this year 3 good crowds and 4 decent meetings with this one awesome. Sam is a loony. Who is Pavliski?
  2. What a race. Emil was brilliant and Killer was unlucky but he was beaten. He had to go for it and was a bit unlucky but 2nd was all he was going to get. Congrats to Emil and all the riders for making an utterly fantastic speedway meeting. I have to agree with that sentiment it's a hell of a track
  3. Forget politics Emil and Greg are 2 of the best riders in the world get them in the SGP whatever it takes. And yes throw Killer in as well as he is also up there with the best.
  4. What a bloody ride from Killer. He is on fire. Emil hasn't won it yet
  5. What a great meeting so far. Russia dominating here. Emil will triumph if he keeps his head. If the SGP give a wild card to Ward and leave out Greg Laguta then they are idiots. His brother Artem is also rather good. 3 Russians would be amazing GP racing.
  6. Poor crowd there mate considering it's still there for at least 4 of them. The SEC has attracted 3 good crowds and the Polish leg a near empty stadium. Emil can't take anything for granted
  7. Nice ide but too well thought out mate so will never happen. The BSPA prefer half arced ideas with absolutely no thought whatsoever so they can make up sh#t as they go along and end up with fixture chaos at the end of it.
  8. Echo that. I am no fan of SS but he does indeed bring an interesting perspective to the forum and argue with him by all means but calling him a lap dog for BSI is silly. I am sure he gets a few freebies thrown his way but hell he is entitled to post what he wants how he wants just like the rest of us. My only real beef with him is his annoying habit of printing his first word in capitals Is this Ward plonker gonna get judged or what? It's about time they decided and give him a stiff reminder that he is not as big a star as he may think and he will be judged the same as any other rider.
  9. Sam is an idiot. They just finished talking about how Pawlicki was injured and Sam then predicts he may well score well tonight. Think this will be a bit of a walkover
  10. Still a bit tired from weekend but looking forward to Friday Liverpool need to wake up if they want to do well in Europe. Saturday was a disgrace.

  12. Why is it that those who were critical of the farce surrounding this stadium will now go and moan about another one? When it's built I say great but it is not going to be some magic wand waved over speedway. The sport has massive problems number one of which is getting a regular crowd so BV will have a lot of work to do to make it viable. That is simply the reality and not some negative ninnys prattlings. And the idea we can hold a 2nd GP with 15 thou is a bit of a stretch. Let's try and get a crowd in the place that allows them to pay the bills first before GPs and SWC finals. If it happens good luck to them and I hope they make it pay. But get real a bit first as the promotion have a lot of debt to sort out and speedway is hardly something that generates massive profits.
  13. This meeting is dragging a bit What time yesterday did it start? Most cricket matches are shorter Maxim has been impressive
  14. I see the point of rewarding the league winners with the meeting on their home track. Rewards the fans as well. But to make it that only the first and second team really have a chance is a bit daft. Give everyone a fair chance. Just a shame for the 3rd and 4th team
  15. They just confirmed it in Danish. The best they can hope for is a draw with 4 each which isn't going to happen. Start teams off with 3 2 1 0 then then give 4 3 2 0 for the meeting still hard to do but it is better than this silly method. Looks like the UK does not have the monopoly of daft rules Still hopes it's a good meeting
  16. Looking at Pauls program I printed off Munkebo can't win whatever they do. Shame that as there should have been some way to make it a 4 horse race.
  17. Nice bonus for me as I thought it was the 12th. Not bad line ups glad to see Nicki is in Does the format allow for anyone to win the title?
  18. To be fair Ray it's being realistic about the project rather than negative. No one posting does not want the stadium built and queues around the block waiting to get in. But of course people are just tired after so many years of hearing all this twaddle about the project. So let's get REAL. It is NOT a NATIONAL speedway stadium it is a speedway stadium and not a particularly big one. Which is fair enough as speedway hardly attracts big crowds anymore. The promotion will have to pay for it and that is a MAJOR bugbear with the project as Belle Vue will have to get a decent team to attract a crowd and they have not had much success with that recently. They will of course own the facilities so benefit as a result but again it all depends on getting a healthy crowd to make it all pay. They may also benefit from multi use of the stadium such as pop events. But Speedway is dying on it's feet here so of course people question the reality of having a 6 million pound debt hanging round the neck of the club before a wheel turns. Will the sport be able to give itself the shot in the arm it needs to allow a club like BV to feel the benefit of a new stadium? We all hope so as we love speedway or we would not waste our time blathering on here. I don't go anymore but still get a buzz out of watching Internet speedway around the globe but the sport could never attract me back as it is not value for money for the effort it would involve and that is the problem. A nice spandy new stadium is great but you need to give people a reason to visit it and the blind devotion of those left is not enough. It is one of the most exciting sports I have ever seen but it is presented and promoted so badly even the die hards (and I used to be one of them many years ago) left are finding better things to do. It's not like the movies. 'Build it and they will come.' It will take huge efforts to get even a break even crowd to the new stadium. From such a low base speedway will have to begin to work together for the good of the sport and that does not work very well either. So Belle Vue will move their poorly performing team from the ramshackle rubbish tip they ride in to a brand new facility next door and thousands of new fans will flock to see them? I don't think so. Of course it will get the normal Honeymoon period where people go from curiosity or like in the old days the want to see a new venue. We have probably all done that But once reality sets in what will be left? And that surely IS the rub. Will it be built? Who knows. I have seen much bigger projects just disappear. If it is great but then the problems will seriously begin for the promotion. I wish them luck as I wish luck to anyone who runs a speedway track but the sport is not what it was and reality is a better option than blind optimism. After all we live in the real world and the real world is a hard unforgiving place Well that makes a massive difference. Forget all I just said the project will be a spectacular success It's like I said before with my Monty Python analogy. "I found this spoon sergeant"
  19. They are probably trying to find someone to explain to them what it actually is!
  20. Yes but how many tracks will have bricks and paving stones with peoples names on? Hopefully, if it is ever built, it is a bit better than that but all the pie in the sky tripe talked about this place may well end up with egg on it's face when it turns out to be just a tin shed with a posh car park How it can still be called a National Stadium is beyond me. It's just a new track for Belle Vue whilst that is indeed welcome it's not at all what was promised and until someone starts digging foundations there it is still just a bit of paper and having a bit of experience of this kind of thing I have seen better bits of paper come to nought than this shed.
  21. I watched it a few times yesterday and not once did it seem like that. The whole episode was Martin's fault he just accelerated and smashed into Leon's back wheel. Leon wasn't stricken until Martin smashed into him and had done the right thing in pulling over beside the fence. He had no chance of catching anyone so who knows what went through his mind. A rush of blood to the head? Whatever it was he only has himself to blame. Hope it's not too bad and he is back soon.
  22. They had hydrated How could anyone prove that one way or another. Methanol fumes are pesky critters as they don't stay where they are supposed to be. I actually enjoy watching Ward race as he is rather BRILLIANT but this is all nonsense as it looks like the conspiracy theorists are actually correct. He should immediately sue them for loss of earnings as they were obviously hasty suspending him when they were employing idiots who had not a clue how to use defective equipment in the correct area. He even admitted the offence on camera but still he will get off with a slapped wrist. Luckily speedway is a silly inconsequential sport and no one will really notice what a joke it has let itself become.
  23. Did all the previous incumbents have to fulfil these criteria? Why pick on him he is no better or worse than anyone else who has had that job. I can't recall any plan to improve speedway and have never seen any leadership from those in charge. It's like the Who song. Meet the new boss same as the old boss.
  24. Why should they be 'iffy'? It's not as if they started doing this the day Ward turned up half p#ssed for a meeting. It's been tried and tested for a long time and I presume accepted by all. The only way it will be deemed 'iffy' is if the powers don't want Ward to be punished because of his position in the hierarchy which is wrong on all levels. It does not matter who he is punishment should be the same. If it's classed as a doping offence then give him the appropriate penalty for that offence. Set a precedent with Ward and the whole testing system might as well be thrown in the bin.
