Poole certainly can carry one or two riders, already in the next round of the KOC, great chance of making the semis of the BSN, won their first away league match. Don't know where the concern is coming from tbh. You don't need to win every match to be Champions.

Scunthorpe vs Workington - 10/5/24 (Bsn Series)
szkocjasid replied to Fozzie4388's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
They are above the points limit, so nothing they can do. Don't need an out & out number one if all riders up their averages. Obviously it would help if Howarth got his average over 8. -

Think Berwick have better guest. Redcar 46-44 Berwick. -

Scunthorpe 51-39 Workington. Both teams into the semi finals. -
Glasgow v Edinburgh BSN Cup 10/5/24@7-30

Scottish derbys often bring up surprises, so are always hard to call. I'll go with Glasgow 47-43 Edinburgh. -
Earlier in the year he indicated he wanted to ride Champ. But I got the impression he wasn't desperate, so would only pick a team that fits in his schedule. The fact he couldn't agree to 28 days makes it less likely he'd sign, but maybe a midweek club, like Oxford, is a possibility?

I don't think an away loss to Belle Vue is the time to panic. But Ermolenko should certainly be looking to strengthen the team.

Riss for Jenkins fits, but now Jordan's scores have improved, don't expect him to be dropped. I guess it depends how ruthless a club is?
-
Cheers, the British Speedway website still said 8 matches for Champ and 3 home & away for Prem. Is that the same for both of the top divisions then?
-
I don't think money is what's stopping Nicholls signing. He's planning for the future, when he hangs up his kevlars, wants a TV job, so would be daft to step away from that when he's wanted. Besides he can guest whenever it suits him, got the freedom to pick & choose when he wants to ride Prem. He's in a great situation, so why would he risk throwing that away?

King’s Lynn 2024 serious team predictions
szkocjasid replied to SuperStarsFan91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
As I made this comment (obviously a joke) before the latest cancellation, perhaps I was actually right? -
As far as I know assessed riders in the Champ get a new average after 8 matches, yet Boughen & Killeen have been given new averages after 6 matches (3 last year, 3 this year). Is that a new rule or have the BSPL made a mistake? It makes a difference if Oxford were planning to use up their spare points, but it looks like they're not. Kinda surprised tbh, seems odd to sign 2 x 2.00 riders who will put points on their averages, but not gain the full advantage of that by building so far under the limit.

Even if I agree with you in Principle that it's unfair to ride without Wojdylo, there's no reason for Lynn to postpone the match less than a week before it's due to be raced. The Polish fixtures were already scheduled when the original match was postponed in March. Why re-arrange on this date? Using your words why can’t some morons understand that!? It really honestly baffles me why people still can’t understand?
-
There's a big difference, Oxford have 6.25 available to replace Atkins who is averaging under 1.00 this year, while Poole could only replace Perry with another 2.00 rider. If Oxford are serious about challenging for trophies, they need to use up their spare 1.97 points before Killeen & Boughen get new averages.

While I was joking, it actually could be quite a close match! 1 Max Fricke 8.51 2 Richard Lawson 6.56 3 Sam Masters 6.91 4 Luke Becker 6.45 5 Ryan Douglas 7.31 6 Drew Kemp 4.54 7 Sam Hagon 3.00 1 Ben Basso 6.68 2 Zach Cook 5.53 3 Tom Brennan 6.37 4 Ben Cook 5.85 5 Nicolai Klindt 6.48 6 Tobias Thomsen 4.00 7 Max Perry 3.00

I'd agree with you if he changed the date 4 weeks ago & announced a new date at the same time. That would have been much more professional for postponing at short notice for being "under strength". If as soon as the Polish meetings were announced he put out a new date, explaining the dates were swapped so they'd have a full team, I think people would've been more understanding.

Redcar v Scunthorpe, 3/5/2024; Cab Direct Championship
szkocjasid replied to pvm's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
If he can carry on like he started the season, gives Scorpions a real sting in the tail (pun intended). But is also guaranteed to stay at reserve no matter how many he scores, due to Scunthorpe's strong top 5. -
The way the averages are going, Brummies could sign Schlein for Milik & Pawlicki could end up at reserve. Surely he'd score a bundle from there? Won't turn them into a strong team, but will make them a stronger team.
