  1. Gotcha, I thought you meant 39 plus RS, not 39 total. Yes that would be weaker, but don't see the limit being that low!
  2. Don't agree that's diluting the product, teams should average out at 42, so 39 + RS is no weaker than this year?
  3. I don't know if the rule change will do much good, riders like Woffinden, Pedersen, Madsen, Zmarzlik, Dudek, Janowski, Lindgren, Vaculik etc chose not to ride in GB long before the Extraliga+1 rule was made. Not worth giving up priority on Thursday's for the sake of 2 top riders (Bewley & Lambert) potentially coming back!
  4. Clubs couldn't organise the league cup final till October this year, despite the qualifiers being known since May! How are they gonna cope with postponements due to Extraliga matches on a Thursday?
  5. Do we know why 3 Armadale riders were missing? I notice they were allowed r/r & unattached guests but Belle Vue weren't! Should Belle Vue have been allowed an unattached 3.00 rider for Ablitt? Not that it would have made much difference!
  6. What I don't like about the riding order is Kim Nilsson deserves his place more than 8 riders who have a better ranking via his GP Challenge win, but of he's ever level on countback in the series, he'll be ranked lower!
  7. With r/r at 2, meaning Edwards in heat 8 (waste of a ride) I'd swap Pijper & Rathbone. If Mildenhall are going to put a nigh on unbeatable rider in heat 8, I'd have my 2 weakest against him & look to pick up points in the heats without Edwards in! Edit: Oxford did the same tonight Jenkins getting an extra ride in heat 8. Don't understand that, if Oxford wanted to build a good lead for the second leg, they'd need their top man beating as many heat leaders as possible, not second strings & reserves!
  8. I personally think the Lambert signing is against the rules, but the rules are written so poorly, can't blame Belle Vue for taking advantage of them. To me the rules are saying "all signings must be between 25% & 75% of fixtures, you're allowed 2 transfers plus injury transfers". However the rules aren't clear enough, so it could be assumed the injury rule is allowed after the transfer window. It's also not clear if the 25-75% window is for each clubs matches or the league as a whole. Clubs also made transfers after the league cup matches & before the league started, which is also out with the "transfer window"! As most fans dislike guests, I do feel any rule which stops transfers & means more guests needing to be used is daft!
  9. But the original guest planned, Nicolai Klindt only chose to race in GB after his Polish season was finished, the same as Lambert!
  10. Mildenhall seem very slow picking dates. Berwick-PO SF away on Sat 8th, home match on 16th (surely 9th would be better). Then Leicester-KOC F away on 15th (home leg on 16th would be ideal)!
  11. Previous a guest or r/r was allowed for any reason. Then a rider missed a match because he had "no equipment" & a stronger guest rider was allowed, cue everyone being up in arms & rule was made stricter! Not 100% sure who was involved but may have been Connor Coles & Mildenhall?
  12. I wasn't comparing Kemp to Flint (who I think is a better rider), however Kemp's ave has gone from 3.82* to 5.58, whereas Flint's has gone from 6.40 to 6.83 so statistically Kemp has improved more this season! Flint clearly has done better than Kemp, but he was already far better than Kemp, who has actually closed the gap a little this season! *2021 rolling ave used for Kemp (as he only had 4 matches for Edinburgh), otherwise final aves used (not rolling).
  13. Imo Basso is only at number 1, because he's been riding in a second string position all year (till Wednesday) even when he was going better than Brennan & Ostergaard, riding order was never changed! If he was given a shot at number 5, two things could have happened - got used to harder races (heat 13) to prepare him for the number 1 spot - or dropped more points leaving Cook at number 1. I don't know why most team managers refuse to make changes to the riding order throughout the year based on who's on form?
  14. But now we're using a 10 match rolling aves, early season matches are no longer counted (when Kemp was scoring well at reserve) bearing that in mind, it's impressive he's kept Zach at reserve!
  15. Richard Andrews missed the match at Armadale & he didn't get a ban!
  16. If that's true, does he get a 28 day ban for witholding his services? Miss the end of the season for Poole?
  17. Fredriksen in the top 5, has a better ave than Hook at reserve, if picking one of them has to be Lasse for me!
  18. At home I'd agree with Cook at 5 & Brennan at 3. But at Poole could have been considered damage limitation, if they expected both to struggle in heat 13, leave Cook at 3 for an easier heat 12? Another option would have been Brennan at 3 with r/r at 4 (Cook 5). Knowing how strong Ben Cook has been at home recently, putting r/r at 4 would've meant Brennan getting his extra ride on the easier heat 14!
  19. A NL side as a 2nd team will always be poorly attended compared to a NL side as the only team. Could get more fans as there is no senior side to watch? Wether it's feasible financially, I have no idea.
  20. I'd certainly be disappointed if they scrapped the "rising star rule" one of the few good rules they've brought in recently imo. If there were two new teams (can't see it happening myself) I'd imagine the points limit would be lower to share the riders out?
  21. Disagree with that comment, think both Hume & Mountain have progressed this year too. Plus Jack Thomas was going well for in his first Premiership campaign till he got injured! Get rid of the "rising stars" and these promising Brits may end up getting dropped. With all the issues with Brexit & Polish rules, it makes sense to have rules encouraging more Brits in teams.
  22. Glasgow's key men for me are Brennan (gets a r/r ride) & Starke (could get 7 rides at reserve) and the will definitely need Bailey to beat Ablitt every time they meet!
  23. I think because Edinburgh have been running for 70+ years people are more concerned about keeping the club alive in the short term. If they get a new stadium NL team will be racing again too.
