Because whoever is Workington's number 6 should be able to beat opposition second strings & give Kyle a chance to score a few points & up his confidence!
But what if an independent governing body voted in a rule all 11 Champ promoters disagreed with & thought it would costs would be prohibitive? Can't see promoters wanting to give it a chance!
Not sure why they'd make a decision like this so early? What if they had to drop a Brit to fit him in (Nielsen) because his average improved? If he's on a 5.20 ave might be worth bringing him in now to replace Manzares who has been in poor form for a while?
I don't see why you couldn't have different pairings home / away based on who's stronger at home / weaker away!

Birmingham will be very weak at reserve without Cupitt now! As mentioned above if he had decided before racing 4 league meetings Birmingham would be in a much stronger position, however it would've made it harder for Cupitt to come back! Can Birmingham get into the top for without him & hope he returns in time for the play-offs!
I would guess MPT signed on his 2017 ave (5.57) on 2nd of April because no Prem riders have new aves! What they are doing now, when they should be combining his 2017 & 2018 aves for a rolling ave, i've no idea!
Seem's a daft rule as a club could potentially benefit by a rider missing one of the first 4 matches for his club, as it could assist with a team change!
It must take a lot of work to organise fixtures for the whole league, so I wouldn't complain about fairness unless I had a suggestion of who could take it over!
