  1. I was a bit disappointed with the lack of team riding by Lambert, thought he had the opportunity to let Harrison round him for a 5-1. Compare that to Josh Pickering who kept looking for his partner & let Sedgmen round for a 5-1.
  2. I agree Scunny should have been made to race imo.
  3. Which is why I don't understand the hosts being seeded to the final. Losing out on a second big crowd. Even if the hosts don't make the final (not likely) there'd still be a good crowd.
  4. Just watched the Holder fall in the semi final & think the ref made the correct decision. No contact & there was plenty room for Holder to carry on round the outside. Not sure why he fell tbh.
  5. Not just Poole I'm referring to. Workington have a BSN semi final to organise & had half a month of racing & last night another blank Saturday. No good reason for clubs not to be racing KOC / BSN ties on their free normal race days.
  6. Wait till the end of the season, there'll be plenty of racing in October after not running in the Summer.
  7. I'm not sure if he'll strengthen the team or not, but agree the comments against him are over the top, it's not like they've dropped Dan Bewley for Harry McGurk.
  8. Tate doesn't have to go with Darcy's thoughts
  9. Can't understand that decision, Kemp did his job at 6 for Leicester (4 points average) but now he'll have to ride in the top 5 at Oxford! I make that 3 times Oxford have de-strengthend this year Riss for Klindt Kerr for Cook Kemp for Kerr For a team well under the limit, baffles me. Maybe they don't want to make the play-offs due to lack of dates?
  10. That would be an odd decision when they have so many points available. Think they should have given Kerr a shot at number 2 before dropping him
  11. Nope, can't understand why he didn't give both reserves 5 rides each?
  12. Very impressed with Sheldon Davies today, looking very fast on the Scunthorpe track.
  13. Maybe he's read my comment as Dicken coming in for Pijper lol! Could've avoided him having to do two-on-the-trot though.
  14. Also, as it's a "development" league, why not use both reserves in traditionally weaker heat 8, rather than giving Championship rider Harrison the easier race? Remember it's not about winning, it's about development right? So would Harrison not learn more in a tougher race.
  15. I'm sure pre-season Lambert suggested, riders would get all their rides, for development etc. but it's looking like Pijper will get 6 rides vs Dicken getting 4. Would have been very easy for Lambert to give them 5 each.
  16. So are Glasgow's heat leaders getting themselves sorted out, or just a case of racing a team with little heat leader strength?
  17. Might feel good saying that, but wouldn't help his career.
  18. Guess I didn't think Harrison did much wrong, as the rider in front picked his line. Why isn't the ref excluding Harrison if he's riding dangerously?
  19. Embarrassing by Fredriksen, picking on a 16/17 year old after a race. What I saw (of a very entertaining race) was akin to a cycle speedway move, Fredriksen moving Harrison over to get James through. Hard but fair. However if anyone was gonna be upset that would be Harrison imo.
  20. Think I would've given Max James the ride in heat 14, as Connor Coles will get more racing in the second meeting.
  21. I've never understood heat 8 being "protected" in the Championship. You don't have to have your weakest reserve at 7 (Coles) you don't have to have a second string at 2 (Thomsen) plus when using r/r the number one (Howarth) can race in heat 8. So why is this heat "protected"?
  22. 100% agree, when the limit is lowered, it's rarely the top riders who miss out (unless they want to) so it's the 4/5/6 points riders who tend to lose their team places, meaning a bigger gap between the top & bottom riders. In an ideal world the top 9 riders in the league should be leaving the Champ, doing Prem & possibly Poland, leaving room for the next group of NDL prospects.
  23. Has Tom really improved, or has his average gone up due to a weaker league (or a bit of both). I think lowering the standard of the National League only makes it harder for riders to make it in the Championship. If it's s possible to score maximums in the NL but zeroes in the Champ, how will riders ever know if they're ready for the step up? No harm in giving Spencer a few guest outings & see how he gets on.
  24. Sam's average is close to double of Max's in the Champ, don't see why they'd do that?
