  1. Looking at the teams, I fancy Edinburgh to pick up the victory. Feel they should have a strong top 4 at NL level.
  2. I remember pre-season many of the Edinburgh Academy riders expecting big things of themselves, I'm sure at least 6 of them were going to become heat leaders, but this comment by Kyren Lyden really takes the cake “If you look at our 1-7 then we have riders all the way that can beat anyone in any opposition.” No offence to the likes of Mark Parker, but do I really believe he can beat Sam Hagon & Joe Thompson for example?
  3. EDINBURGH: Connor Coles, Mason Watson, Sam McGurk, Dayle Wood, Max Perry, Mark Parker, Kyran Lyden. MIDDLESBROUGH: Jake Mulford, Kai Ward, Danny Phillips, Jamie Halder, Matt Marson, Ben Rathbone, William Hocaniuk.
  4. I honestly think the SGP & SON has worse rules than British Speedway.
  5. Don't makes jokes, wouldn't put it past the organisers to input this rule in the future lol!
  6. Kelvin needs to stop being so obsessed with 5 points winning a heat. Slovenia 7 behind Czechs so naturally 5 points would be a great result for them - clueless commentary!
  7. I guess some people think of a riders is not doing well, they have to replace them, I'd say they should try to improve on them if they can. That's almost like what Oxford did, replaced Kerr because he wasn't going well, despite the fact they didn't have a stronger replacement limed up.
  8. IMO the longer it takes to announce the fixtures, the harder it is to convince the fans they are important meetings. If they are treated like low ranking events, why would fans be excited to attend?
  9. Neither Starke or Pijper could replace McGurk. Unless it was Jody Scott, I think I'd stick with Sam, don't see Perry scoring much more than him. But Workington could really do with his reserve partner scoring more.
  10. Better off not seeding GB to the final, should mean a bigger crowd for one of the semi finals.
  11. Also people need to remember Garrad may not score more than Pijper, but he was signed because they expect Ivacic to score more than Starke. Can't make one change without the other due to the points limit. If it was a single change Garrad for Pijper I could understand the outcry
  12. Perhaps neither, Theo has been in speedway king enough time know teams make changes. I'm sure he can explain that to his kids.
  13. Starke & Pijper released by Glasgow. Possible replacements for Leibmann?
  14. That wouldn't explain why his scores have dropped for Birmingham but not Poole
  15. Probably because they realise having the first leg at home is an advantage lol! I'm joking before anyone gets upset, there's no advantage either way.
  16. I don't understand the thinking behind that? Clubs have to race all the meetings, is there an advantage to doing the league before KOC / BSN? Maybe don't want to reach the cut-off date with matches in hand is the only reason I can think of.
  17. There is no rule that requires teams to use a NL guest. If Vissing was missing for a holiday they'd be allowed a 75% guest, not sure of he'd get a 14/28 day ban though?
  18. Is it worth bringing Zach Cook back? Probably in place of Lampart?
  19. Started the season so well, still scoring the points for Poole, but struggling with Birmingham. He really shouldn't be riding at 5, but Birmingham need another heat leader to move him down to his natural second string position.
  20. Really thought the Brummies were favourites tonight, but 8 points down against Oxford is such a terrible effort.
  21. With clubs having so few matches, it's odd they haven't / can't / won't organise the fixtures better. But that relies on clubs working together, something that seems to be lacking at times.
  22. Looking at the two teams, I think Birmingham should win. That being said Birmingham are very good at being poor. Then there's always a chance Schroeck's tactics could hinder Oxford, but Ermolenko can probably match him in the poor manager stakes. But they both can't lose. Pawlicki at reserve should be top scoring & helping the Brummies to a win.
