  1. We as loyal fans (1981 was my 1st visit) all have opinions on what's gone on or going on at Ipswich, i enter my 44th season, give or take a couple i took a break from, and i totally back @Aries in everything he has said. We can all say about what if we were in a position on losing money, that situation i can't argue with, you would consider selling it, that's obvious, but the Radio Silence for all of us fans for me is simply poor, irrelevant at what he has done for the club as a rider and a promoter through the years, just be honest with the loyal supporters who has backed him and his family for years. His silence is painful for so many. As a very loyal Ipswich fan, i now can see all the frustrations that Wolves,Peterborough,Swindon,Lakeside and many more, to many to name, supporters feel at all the uncertainty surrounding their clubs. Now it's our turn, and i hold my hand up it's painful. There maybe 2 bidders on the table, there maybe more, but until Louis lowers his asking price, it's simply not going to sell. Yes its controversial, and yes there are Witches fans rolling their eyes at my post, but I've spent many evenings travelling the country Home and Away supporting Ipswich for years, and in my own honest opinion, my loyalty towards Chris and the situation is wearing thin. Not saying loads agree with me, just giving an honest opinion. Clubs already naming riders (That's the 4 teams that remain), but as we sit here this evening, there is NO guarantee Ipswich come to tapes, irrelevant of the Fine @PhilTheAce is talking about, that simply won't happen, as we all know rules and regulations in this sport are not worth the paper they are written on. I would say we are closer to NOT running than people think, unless as i read on here earlier today Chris is calling people's bluff and he remains in charge, but for me if he does that, he will have a lot of rebuilding to do with the Supporters. I hope i'm 100% wrong, and we race, but im nowhere near as confident as some. Many Apologies for the long post. Tomorrow is another day???
  2. I also wouldn't count Bewley at Belle Vue Phil...Let's wait and see, that certainly isnt a given whoever you have spoken to today, unless of course it's Dan himself, but i know that isnt true
  3. Not sure On Bewley being at Belle Vue, but don't think your far out with the other 6. But what a dreadful few months for all of us supporters following the Sport we love, always the last to know anything, but they soon want our money when the season starts. But who knows what Teams will be put together, some will be pleased it's running with 5 Teams, but for me it's a watered down league, that has shambles written all over it.
  4. So looks like it's true...No Fricke at Leicester next season.....Those calling Dougy at 1 are spot on. Question is will Fricke return to the UK and if he does who can afford him or even more to the point, who can fit him in with his average.
  5. Correct BluPanther, it won't be 36, sadly silly season is upon us, but the 36 limit is certainly not happening. When it comes to the Witches, i would imagine, Doyle,Brennan and Rew will be in there somewhere, not sure what Danny will do, i would also imagine there is a chance of Jordan Jenkins at 6 with Edwards as the R/S and Dan T could find himself at the NSS. That's not me starting any rumour, that's what i think could happen.
  6. This is the 1 team that i can't wait to see....If rumours are true(And they are normally not this time of the year) there won't be no Bewley at Belle Vue next season. Ben Cook i'm sure will return, but can,t wait to see who Belle Vue announce as their 7.
  7. Ipswich fan here, and i definitely wouldn't want to see Sheffield Shut down, or any other track for that matter. Had many a good night at Sheffield watching the Witches(Not going tonight though, as it is sadly a pointless fixture), i agree with Phil the Ace though, someone will come in and take it on, and it would not surprise me it's Mr Tolley.
  8. Congrats to Leicester on winning the KO Cup, and the double for you Leicester fans is certainly on. On the meeting itself, didn't really think Lynn had much of a shout after Monday's draw, but as they proved at Foxhall a couple of weeks ago, Klindt at reserve can rack up the points, so anything was still possible. On Heat 6, we all see it differently, but after seeing Kerr's pass quite rightly allowed against Dan Thompson at Foxhall (Just Hard Racing)i feel it was the correct decision to exclude Klindt, but again just my opinion, and it had no effect on the overall result whatsoever. But i must admit, even though Lewi Kerr wasn't great on Monday, to leave him out for an old and still injured Scott Nicholls was mind numbing, Scott hasn't even had 1 ride at this level in 12 Months and Lynn throw him in for a Final. Bad choice for me, but again, Kerr might not of made much improvement on the score. Lynn were superb at Foxhall in 2nd Leg, and it's all If's and But's, but if Iversen was riding that night, i'm not so sure Lynn would of got through, especially going on Monday and Thursday's scores, but they did and they totally deserved to go through. Now it's time for teams to complete their League Campaign's and see what the Play Offs Bring, top 4 has been welded in since the 1st week of the season, let's see how the Semi Final's pan out and hope the season finishes on a high with 6 cracking meetings. Then of course, for another day, where will UK Speedway be this time next year with what teams race and in what league. Congrats again to those Lions Riders and Supporters.....
  9. Just Saying.....I would be very surprised if you see Ben Cook riding at King's Lynn anymore this season....Just something I heard in my Hotel in Manchester yesterday evening, and the source seriously couldn't be more reliable.....But its Speedway in the UK..So who knows
  10. Doyley riding at Manchester i hear (Weather Permitting). Let's hope he's fit and comes through unscathed. If he does, i would assume he will be at Lynn on Monday Night.
  11. At times the most pointless person on the whole forum......Absolute constant Drivel
  12. Sadly i can assure you he's not......
  13. Great shout from you, i'm going tonight and i agree it is good for the sport that Kings Lynn fans are in great spirits and so they should be, they deserve to watch a good side after years of loyalty and watching dross and of course being mugged off by riders, but i agree, this sin't as such a done deal as most predict, Yes i witnessed an actual drubbing for those Belle Vue boys last Thursday, and i also watched Lynn beat a very ordinary Oxford side last Monday(they will come 7th) and although Harris should score big again at 6 (only for 3 more weeks)there were riders last Monday for me that weren't so sharp, Cook and Klindt the main 2, same could be said about Belle Vue, i get that, but they surely won't be as bad again tonight, i expect the Stars to win, but i'm hoping for a close meeting
  14. Sadly.....Not surprised on Cook whatsoever, as some have said on here already, why Stewart gave him a slot is baffling in itself. Would be stunned if any of the other 6 sides touched him at any stage of the season, but this is Speedway in the UK, so never say never. On Drew Kemp, another chance for the lad, but he must be running out of them, i hope he goes well for the Lions. Not sure the loss of Cook changes much, his best days are way behind him, and Leicester for me still battle with Lynn for 4th. But i do agree with others they are weaker than last season, especially with Howarth replacing Lawson. But season is upon us and i cant wait, and will definetly visit Leicester this season, as always have a good night there.
  15. Again.....Opinions and Predictions....It's in the title......Oh and well done on 2 out of last 3 season's, thats another subject, this is predicting 2025...Another Village Surfaces who doesnt understand the Subject.....Dear Oh Dear
  16. It's only my opinion, and I standby i won't be discussing anything with you in October, bold prediction, but Belle Vue won't make Play Off Final, their is a clue in the title....Predictions for 2025.....
  17. We are nearly into February, and Speedway gets ever closer, and i simply can't wait. Team building has been somewhat interesting, and there are a lot of If's and Maybe's, especially with a few new riders coming over, and a few movers from last season. Bit awkward predicting my team to win it, but Ipswich would surely be most people's favourites ( Minus Injuries of course), that bit's easy, but we all know what happened last season, so anything is possible. On the rest, Irrelevant of me being an Ipswich fan, i don't see Belle Vue retaining their title, or making the final, big season for Kurtz in the GP's, he will certainly be concentrating on that and Poland before he worries about the UK, and i agree with most Zach is no Ben. So Play Offs yes.....Nothing after that, although they could win the KO Cup, as they ride Ipswich right at the start of the season, and to be fair, those meetings could be a lottery. Sheffield will rely heavilly on the big 3, but Picko and Rowe could be key, especially around Owlerton, and for me i see them Again as Ipswich's main challengers. Final Play Off Place is anybody's for me apart from Oxford....Lynn...They lack an out and out Heat leader, will go very well at home, and start as slight favs out of the rest for top 4..... Lawson and Kvech the key there this season, and definetly not Harris. For me Leicester and Birmingham are a real unknown, just don't know what to expect, i hope Birmingham and Keynan Rew do well, i think we will know much more about them around Mid May, it's just a bag of Allsorts. Leicester are the team i want to make top 4, but Lawson is a big loss for them, and when Fricke goes missing (as he does...often)i worry that Howarth is No Lawson and Douglas,Masters and Becker have to start the season well, if they don't Leicester could finish 6th, but for me id love to see them back in the Top 4, as i aim to do many visits again to Leicester this season, love the crowd and the Atmosphere at Leicester, but boring as it sounds, could be 4th,5th or 6th. Oxford....Another track i will do a few times this season, and that is based on the friendly crowd, enjoyed all 3 visits last season......But, None of us know the ins and outs of their Team Building, but huge pressure on Janowski, Tungate and the returning Kildermand, and a massive season for Riss, he and Charles Wright really do have to up their game away from home, as i fear some big defeats on the road if they dont. Gusts is interesting, and looking forward to watching him in the UK and Killeen will definetly get better, but i just feel they have come up to short, i hope i'm wrong but i do fear the wooden spoon for the Spires. But how great it is we have 7 Teams going to tapes, we all knew Poole and Ford would back out of the Cup, biggest betting certainty in all Sport for 2025 that one, but we all now need to dust ourselves down coz the season isn't far away, and for us who have got teams to follow, let's not forget those Wolverhampton, Peterborough, Swindon, Coventry Supporters who still wait for the smallest bit of positive news on their tracks coming back to tapes in the Prem. Wouldn't it be great if just 1 of those returned, but fingers crossed more than 1 comes back. See you all in March,Iversen's Testimonial and the Ben Fund Bonanza will be my 1st taste of Speedway in 2025......And it can't come quick enough.
  18. I went to Leicester a few times last season, great crowd and good banter everytime, and will definetly return this season and probably not just to watch Ipswich. I know they had to drop some points, and losing Lawson for Howarth for me is a real kick in the teeth for a good bunch of Supporters, but thats the Points situation i suppose, but i have to say getting Craig Cook back is a disaster in my opinion only, i hope im wrong, but if i was a Leicester fan, that would dissappoint me more than Howarth. But their Gaffa does change things around, he isnt afraid to do that, so we will wait and see, if Cook wasn't 1st choice, and i expect that is true, then who was??
  19. I can assure you 100% Kvech was NEVER in their plans, and it was another club trying to get him b4 Lynn, but they had no security at the time as to whether they would come to tapes. It's as simple as that. On this Musielak ongoing argument, i see he's only walked away from 1 club in the UK since his time Racing here, and i can't find it anywhere else that he's walked out on anybody else, but happy to be proven wrong??
  20. Not arguing with some of your facts, but let's get it straight, Ipswich NEVER spoke with Kvech for next season...NEVER
  21. Absolutely Spot On, and they have tried with Keynan Rew now for weeks, as Arch Stanton quite rightly has said many times, Belle Vue have Zack Cook already in, but he is right, let's wait and see, we know Mr Lemon can change things at last minute, and now Louis has called Keynan's bluff as they say, Keynan suddenly becoming available might mean a last minute change for Belle Vue, and they would do that without a seconds thought about Zack, they are no different to Ipswich or Sheffield, if they want to change Zack at the last minute, they will, it's that simple. I would say either way, out of these 2 named riders, 1 will be at Belle Vue and 1 will be in the Birmingham septet.
  22. I have to agree with you on that, i don't think Tom joining Ipswich was ever the problem with them naming their 7, issues elsewhere, but Birmingham have really got to pull a couple of rabbits out of the hat now to get the crowds in Perry Bar. And as TTT says, if Pete Adams gets involved, i expect a few surprises in that line up??
  23. Looks very likely now the final 2 are Doyle and Brennan, and to be honest, that is some side. Dissappointing to see Keynan leave (If True), especially if it is to do with Money, but i suppose we won't ever know that. On where Keynan goes, could be Birmingham although some have mentioned he might not do the UK this season, which would also be sad, especially after the season he had last year. Belle Vue is touted but by all accounts Zack Cook replaces his brother Ben as the only change there, so don't know what to think. Buit its the Annual P*** up this week, so i'm sure we will know a lot more by the end of the week. Quite a lot on here who get slated for posting teams and being in the know as they say, have this silly season got a lot right, and yes it keeps the forum going, and i thank them for keeping the Boring months when Speedway is finished entertaining. I just love this sport, and we need to keep the UK Flag flying.
