Really!!!, wasn't the same meeting I was at , . Well done to Sheffield guests who won the meeting . The usual Simon Stead show , tractors out everytime before he raced . Lack of continous meetings is really starting to show in the Worky camp, but onwards to the next have quite a few to catch up on . Hope Josh bates is okay after his awful crash

Well what a blow after giving a shout out to Sheffield from the sofa in heat 13 ,always tough carrying a team with injuries as we well know , looked an awful crash, a sad end to a decent meeting in front of the Sky cameras

Yes they employ the medical team but its the medical's teams responsibilty surely to have correct medical kit , like I've said its a riders responsibility to bring his bike to ride on, not the promotions. To be clear this incident hasn't happened before at Workington. When Kyle Howarth sustained his ankle injury the ambulance took him to hospital as he had been given morphine on track, and with a wait of 66 minutes for another county ambulance to come and replace it , due to the curfew and the sitting around for fans the meeting was abandoned. Receiving a fine ,mmmm I wonder if Berwick did for the abandonment of their meeting due to a Doctor "leaving " the ground I'm not comparing anything to rain off !! Spin king suggested that Workington hadn't wanted the meeting on in the first place and was this some sort of conspiracy theory to which I have replied , if Workington wanted it called off they could have looked at the weather forecast which said rain to come in around 3pm .

Because he isn't the regular Doctor or ambulance team that we usually have , it had been sent as a stand in , so a failure in communication to him as to what was required for a speedway meeting, which surely should have came from the medical team

If Worky wanted the meeting off why the hell would they get both teams riders here and have to pay all expenses etc etc , could have just went with the weather forecast and called the bloody thing off with rain forecast to come in from 3pm so sorry that theory right out the window. As like most chipping in on here , who haven't a clue what the facts are . As for travelling Sheffield fans out of pocket , try going all the way Somerset for a "rain off" cough splutter and to Berwick , but not even get your entry money back either, its the chance you take in speedway, so no different to any other fans. A stand in Dr turning up without approriate medical equipment , and thats a promotions fault ?? Surely their responsibility to turn up for a job with correct equip , whos responsibility would it be if a rider turned up without a bike , the promotions too ??

Come on AF, our last two meetings the guests at reserve had a combined score of 0, possibly 1 across both matches !! Ashley Morris would have scored better than that , its okay if you havent got r/r ,

Agree there LL, we diving down the table only having ridden 9 matches , we need all the points we can to start the climb back up, no PL meeting again nxt week so a must win. Not ideal with R/R and two guests , hopefully Fox will prove better than previous guests to take bit pressure off Simon having to take 7 . Good luck Guys Come on the Comets !!!!!

Thats the way its gone all season for the Smugs, B4E , makes such a difference if luck goes your way, they'e had no injuries to deal with and not many missing riders due to commitments. For the seond time this season I'm with the Bandits for this one

And another possible great guest for the Comets , Kasper has become quite popular in the comets bib, his performance and effort at Rye was top notch and he was lined up for us last weekend . A very decent pairing at reserve

No I'd gone Toilet Far too young for me to remember the 70's and 80's . Probably one of the rare Worky fans that was pleased with a point , 5 riders I'm not complaining hence why I was still singing , Lord Lucan has his own opinion so back at ya Mr M . Us travelling Worky fans are the loudest bunch around and will continue to be so for the rest of season

Getting a lot cooler here in Worky , my rain dance might just be working ;-)

Not an excuse , but at Redcar , the bears pulled it back with a tactical and a few heats with us having to field 1 rider , oh and the strange watering past gate 4 and the bends before heat 15 , riding against a full home team with 5 riders done bloody well to keep the score to two !! Over the course of two nights we have had really poor guests who when you are already carrying r/r just can't do it against full teams especially edinburgh who are riding the quest of the wave on confidence . Workington not the only team on paper that look the business but for some reason it's just not working , Newcastle, Sheffield another two teams it just doesn't seem to be working. Speedway is a sport you need a bit of Lady Luck along the way but that's speedway . Workington need to get that fighting spirit back in their bellies , they can do it they showed that at Rye house and Redcar , (should have been a lot worse with five riders ). We live to fight another day ,you can't give up just have to soldier on !! Right I'm off to make a cuppa and do another rain dance , riding with 4 riders ,2 guests and good old r/r could lead to more heartache tonight Are you still pissed , please use spell check , lol !!!
