Oh I immediately thought the same as you from the description Baldy, but we could be totally wrong. No idea why people come on here giving cryptic clues, just sh!t or get off the damn pot..

Just under 8 points left for a heatleader, and Nicholls on 5 and a half is the back up plan? Nah not believing that one I’m afraid.

And very rarely do -
Exactly. If you must do it this way, at least leave 8 minimum otherwise you’ve reduced your options from the off! I think it’s mad announcing 6 riders without a 7th signed I really do. Announce 5 fair enough, at least that gives you a little wiggle room with 2 spaces left. If we can only manage to find a 6 pointer then we’re as bad as Wolves and will have built nearly 2 points under the limit. Seems a complete balls up.

I see in the Speedway Star Ritchie Hawkins under the title “Witches’ search”, says we have “plenty of points to play with” in the search for the last rider and hopefully get something sorted in the next couple of weeks after admitting it’s been difficult getting a top rider in. So we actually HAVE, signed and announced 6 riders without having a scooby who the last rider is! That’s staggering

We’ll just have to be patient a little longer.

It doesn’t particularly, but then again he knows who it is and it’s taking longer than he expected so I’m thinking Visa. You’re right about the track. Every year he doesn’t sit on his hands and do nothing, he tries something else to improve the racing. Fair play to him.

“I suspect the pundits will make us bottom again” Why would he think that? It’s almost as if he doesn’t rate the team himself..

So sorry to read about your wife. Fingers crossed for the new chemo. Try and remain as positive as you possibly can in the circumstances, there’s always hope! -
Forget Tungate. Never ever happening.

So nothing today then. Signing five (Ayres) was announced week before last, signing 6 (Covatti) was announced last week, and signing 7? Surely tomorrow... We wouldn’t sign and announce 6, and leave a random chunk of points available to hunt around for a number 1 still. Would we?

There was a time when he definitely was overweight, during his Coventry days especially. But certainly not these days -

Not at all convinced Iversen would be a good signing in all honesty. His schedule is a big concern obviously and he’s hardly committed to the UK these days with his priorities elsewhere. Not sure what kind of return you’ll get IF he signs. -

Bar Swindon, the rest look much of a muchness to me. So tough to predict with this lot. I’ll have a think while the Panthers complete their team.
-
Seems a pretty tired effort it has to be said.

Well that’s an improvement on your last years verdict of our team. If a “cr@p” team that “will finish bottom” can end up runners up, then this “half decent team” has every chance of success surely..

Acef has Acknowledged that tbf , the issue he’s pointing out was the “with ease” part. It was anything but! For an awful long time it looked like they wouldn’t make it.

Col did, and a fair few others were also pretty scathing. TBF I wasn’t impressed pre season either and I also thought we’d have a struggle to avoid the wooden spoon. My point is most people’s predictions on here are usually way off, and I include myself in that! It’s all a bit of fun. Lynn do have the benefit of having a real home comforts track. All clubs have a home advantage for sure, but Lynn is always a difficult place to get a result from despite the team strengths. As Bagpuss says, wouldn’t surprise me to see them unbeaten all season there. -

Wouldn’t be overly concerned by people’s predictions on here, they’re always pretty woeful tbf. Rewind 12 months ago and Ipswich were being slaughtered for having “the worst top flight team ever”. Seems some never learn -

The first time I posted about him was yesterday for crying out loud! I was giving my opinion, on a forum, where you give opinions, on a Peterborough thread, after they’d just signed him!! And that makes me “have a problem with him”? Grow up FFS. -

A problem with Hans? Why on earth would I have a problem with him? What a bizarre thing to say. It’s called an opinion. My opinion is simply that I don’t think Andersen has aged well compared to others! Good grief. He’s not a terrible signing on his average, but I’m not expecting as big an increase as others are confidently predicting. There may be a small improvement, but my guess is he’ll be around the 6 point mark. -

No idea. Have they been increasing, or decreasing? -

People have been saying that for 3 or 4 years now. We’ll see.
