Must admit I’ve followed this thread from the beginning and found myself shaking my head in disbelief at some of the contributions. Steve Irving you could have literally made a greatest hits from Bwitcher alone, but I didn’t expect anything less from him in all honesty. Some of the others have been disappointing to say the least.

What a race this was between Heeps and Max Fricke. Had everything including a big elbow from Fricke down the back straight of the final lap. Box office around Foxhall is Heeps, out and out racer. If you look on the official website in the media clips section, pretty much all of the uploads of the best moments involve Heeps, which is why he should be one of the first names on the team sheet.

Definitely noticeable to me Baldy. The official Twitter often tweet that view from the start line pre meetings and as a bit of a sad anorak I often zoom in to look at track conditions. Unless the camera is giving a false view there’s more there than I was expecting! Surprised you don’t really see it.

If you zoom in on the track you can noticeably see the extra banking added to the bends

Kind of feels like the end of an episode of Bullseye “have a look at what you could have seen”, but there you go

Will the premiership start on time?

As a competition, it’s pretty much already over. If and when any racing resumes, you’ll not see the teams listed on the BSPA website so any “winner” at the end of it will be irrelevant and worthless. It is what it is and there’s nothing anyone can do. Such a shame as this was building up to be one of the most anticipated seasons for years with the likes of Crump and Pedersen returning. -
Wasn’t worded particularly well, I was meaning more having an ambulance present for practice as apposed to an official racing meeting when it’s compulsory. Word was that wouldn’t be possible so just wondering if practice could go ahead without one present.
-
Still going ahead.

Why not? They’re all here, all have their equipment and brand new Kevlars ready to go, and the season hasn’t been written off. Rather than sit around doing nothing I’m sure they’d prefer to have a spin for a few hours if the chance is there.

All riders in the country and “ready to race”. If all riders are here wonder if press and practice will still go ahead as planned? Can you practice without medical cover?

Doesn't really sound like a man who is not totally committed to the UK this season and only intends to do a handful of meetings..

Better off cancelling it surely? Can’t do all the press photos with only 5 members. The practice part sure, let the remaining 5 get some laps in but the photo shoots need postponing until all 7 are together. -

Agree just take the grandstand out of the equation, still enough space around the track to stage the meeting surely? Was looking forward to this so disappointing. -

Might come along to this. Good to see some Speedway -
Was going to say the same, think they had us 33’s rank outsiders last year
-
And all a year older. Natural decline. Personally I think they’ll all finish with very similar averages to which they’re starting the season with. Time will tell obviously.

There’s a few teams who have question marks, ours at Ipswich is another. Will Crump hold his own and average 7+, or will it prove a disaster and he struggles around the 5 point mark. None of us are sure. Very much looking forward to the 26th at the Showground, might have a better idea of both teams then. Just nice to have the season upon us again and have some racing to watch.
