Is there a point to heat 15?
Arch Stanton replied to brianbuck's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
But we have so many moaning about value for money. Surely, you want to see Sayfutdinov, Woffinden, Bewley etc as often as possible? If itās a superheat, watching the best riders, sometimes the best riders in the world, battling each other three times in the last four heats is something EVERY fan should want to see? Why on earth wouldnāt you want that? -
King's Lynn Stars 2025
Arch Stanton replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Dunno myself. Is it anymore Mickey Mouse than having clubs have a bye and racing less fixtures to win it than others? I quite like this idea actually. Also gives their supporters a juicy fixture to look forward to and see riders at their track that theyāre currently not seeing. -
And he didnāt get going until May/June! His mechanical issues were well documented both here and in Poland. Once sorted he was back to the form he showed the previous season where he comfortably topped the averages. Heās now on a figure a point less than the one he started on, thereās an increase there. Heās another reason weāve managed to squeeze in the team we have, alongside five brits with reductions and one of them on a 25% reduction. Our main competition youād think, will all have a weaker team on paper than they did this year. We probably wonāt get another opportunity as good as next year for a while, theyāve built absolutely superbly.

Take your point to a degree, the body naturally takes longer to heal as you get older but in the nicest possible way, Doyle is a bit of a freak when it comes to fitness. His fitness routine through the winter is insane. There was a piece done on Anglia TV last year showing all the high tech equipment in his gym and the personal trainer he has with him. He doesnāt have an ounce of body fat on him which is why I think he has more longevity than most. I donāt think this particular crash and the length of time it has taken is due to age. It was awful and done a lot of damage. Bit of a shame the few meetings he planned to do in Australia this winter are not now happening. Hopefully he gets a warm up meeting or two in over here before the season starts. Donāt care how experienced you are, over 10 months out is a long time without racing.
-
Doyle is a racer and a hard charger so has a few spills here and there. But in all the years heās ridden in the UK, how many of those have resulted in a season ending long term injury like this one?
-
Is it? Iād say the odds are extremely remote that the exact same thing will happen next year that happened this, let alone (we all know itās gonna happen). Equal chance of injuries happening to every other club in the league.
-
Little value on having a flutter on Ipswich. Up to you obviously itās your money, but the odds will be terribly short and in this sport you can go from red hot favourites to rank outsiders in one meeting. Look what happened this year. I always think itās better to look lower down for value. Thereās sometimes some strange looking big prices on a team or two who look half decent.

How many years is it now? š

Again, please donāt feed him. He got one or two early bites and is now rolling with it and enjoying himself. Donāt do it.

Ellis at 2 for me personally. Let him ride with his mate. King and Brennan could make a good pairing at 3 and 4. King prefers the outside, Brennan more an inside line rider. Could work well.

Itās difficult to know. Lynn with Bomber at reserve should in theory have the strongest reserves. But nobody is quite sure at the moment which direction Boughen is heading. Jenkins looks the strongest rising Star to me, and Dan averaged over 5 (with bonus points) riding most of the season at number 2. Heās not likely to move out of the reserve berth this time with the top 5 we have so the reserves look a potent pairing. Thereās no obvious weakness anywhere in the team really.
-
Nobody else is risking it though Shano! Of course they must be confident, and a limit of 40 must have been agreed in principle, but itās only ever official once itās confirmed at the AGM itself which doesnāt even begin until tomorrow. To my knowledge, this is the first time in British Speedway history that a club has announced their full septet before the Annual Conference.

Agree. Donāt see the issue personally. Makes total sense what youāre doing. -
Heās an obvious Troll. People should stop feeding him.

King's Lynn Stars 2025
Arch Stanton replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Think Oxford will be Lynnās biggest threat for 4th. Be interesting to see whether they take full advantage of Janowskiās low average. Potential is there to build a powerful side. -
We do have an issue there it canāt be denied, but we had a similar issue at Sheffield before putting that right this year. Think weāll get it right sooner or later and make a better fist of things.
-
Ellis averaged more than Rew this year. Ellis 19 meetings, GSA of 5.90, Rew 23 meetings GSA 5.58.

Belle Vue have made one change, itās an enforced change dictated by the points limit. If the limit had been raised to 41, they would have kept the exact same team and not swapped out Ben for Zach Cook. Anyway, Birmingham thread. Letās just wait and see who they reveal before everyone feels sorry for them.
