  1. TBF was always going to take Mountain a good chunk of the season to get back to the potential he showed last year. Was a really nasty injury he suffered last year and was advised to give the start of the season a miss. Unfortunately some don't have any patience and wrote him off as a duffer far far too early.
  2. Oh well there's always next year I suppose. LOL
  3. Nearly got to see Scotty tomorrow. Was asked and agreed to guest for King after his spill at Newcastle.
  4. Risager? I know he's not overly popular with some either but I'd take Morten over Sedgman in a heartbeat.
  5. Seems to have an awful lot of tracks that he dislikes. He's been a disaster.
  6. Bit harsh. King's heat 11 fall was clearly pivotal. Self inflicted it seems so can't complain but was clearly a turning point as having to throw Mountain in heat 13 is obviously not ideal. Another point on the road and 4 points from two away meetings over the weekend keeps things ticking over nicely.
  7. Amazing isn't it that when Sedgman replaced Covatti there were a couple of clowns (Peterborough supporters funnily enough!) who tried to make out that the change made us stronger. Sedgman ain't fit to pull on Nico's right glove. Or his left come to that! He was actually our best "away" rider I believe and his absence can't be understated. We definitely would have had a few more away points on the board with him in the team without a doubt. But that's speedway I suppose.
  8. Probably both considering the big lead and then being 2 down going in to final heat. Got to say well done to Berwick though to fight back brilliantly against all the odds!
  9. Must admit I'm a little surpised a fair few it seems will be giving this a miss, especially after the cracking meeting last time out. They've worked on the track and it seems to have settled down and produced a corker against Worky. I'd never dream of telling people what to do with their hard earned, I miss meetings myself. But I find the timing a little strange coming off such a good meeting that was well received by everybody. I'll be there tomorrow for that very reason, hoping for more of the same. Fingers crossed the weather doesn't hinder track prep too much.
  10. Not a bad guess like! Gotta be happy picking up a point. Keep winning at Foxhall and picking up points here and there on the road should be enough. To pick up a point at both Glasgow and Peterborough recently is decent, two tough places to go.
  11. We've got some good Showground performers in our side so we'll be competitive. Can't see a victory but we've got to be looking to take something. Panthers by 6.
  12. Always does Baldy. I've always thought the same about the footie as well. Go to the game and see a worldie of a goal, get home and watch it on the box and doesn't look as impressive! Really enjoyed that meeting last week though. That's what I call value for money so more of the same please!
  13. Excellent meeting some great racing on show tonight. Track settling down nicely.
  14. Exactly this careful Jenga as you'll soon be threatened with a glass in your face!! Seems a thoroughly nice chap that one.
  15. Just the one point for Sedgmen tonight for Belle Vue. The bloke is really struggling unfortunately.
  16. Witches 98 Rickardsson Gollob Louis Nicholls Svab Clouting
  17. Havent a clue where you and Taylorj are getting this "expected 4 points" $hite from but carry on peddling it! In fact the Ipswich supporters on here were openly stating they'd be happy with a point..
  18. Well he needs to buck his ideas up sharpish if he wants to carry on at Ipswich. Louis won't put up with a lack of effort for long if that is indeed the case. People actually thought we looked stronger for the change but that's certainly not looking the case at the moment. I'm reluctant to say it's failed because things can turn around pretty quickly and you can end up looking daft. Newman is another who needs to buck his ideas up. Yes, he had the injury at the start of the season but that can't continue to be used as an excuse forever. He should be doing much better. It's frustrating again because on paper (I'm getting sick of saying that) the team looks very strong and the middle order of Sedgman and Newman looks one of the best in the league, but not for the first time in recent years we have certain members of the team badly underperforming. We need to be careful because there's some good sides around and Peterborough are strengthening so unless we pull our finger out we could easily miss out on the top 4.
  19. Agree one to watch for sure if the rumoured plans come to fruition.
