  1. After all those years retired, to make a comeback at 45 and then break several ribs a few meetings in, you could forgive him for thinking “Nah I don’t need this anymore”. Hopefully that’s not the case, but it wouldn’t surprise me.
  2. Don’t think it’s anything to do with fight, the team is just not very good. Yes we won at Lynn, but we got fortunate with track conditions being a leveller early on. When it dried, we were getting 5 oned all over the shop in the second half of the meeting, that despite Lynn being cr@p themselves. That in itself should have been a warning sign. Add on to the fact we’re now built a couple of points below the limit, and a couple of riders arrived late and are looking ill prepared all adds up to the pretty obvious thumping we saw last night. Take nothing away from Wolves though, they look a fantastic side and it already looks a nailed on Wolves Belle Vue final barring injuries.
  3. If some of the Witches had started the season better I’d fancy it to be a bit closer. The fact is, Heeps has looked way below his best so far, Allen has started slowly and Stewart has looked abysmal. Harsh yes, as Allen and Stewart have only had a couple of meetings so far, but Stewart in particular looked dreadful at Foxhall on Thursday and only managed 3 points in the championship last night. Wolves could hit 60 tonight IMO.
  4. Being quoted on the official Ipswich website as confirming “I don’t like Ipswich and never have” on the announcement that he’d purchased the club, wasn’t the smartest idea either! I know Chris Louis was subsequently bombarded on social media with less than friendly tweets from unhappy Ipswich supporters that he’d “sold out” to someone who had just publicly stated his dislike of the club, and that surely couldn’t have helped matters in the proposed sale. Maybe CL then had second thoughts and decided to gamble on the top flight himself?
  5. Good weather forecast anyhow so guaranteed a meeting for the fans.
  6. Mauling for the Witches I’m afraid. Wolves look very very good.
  7. Fingers crossed most of the rain/showers stay away and some fans can get to see some Speedway.
  8. Certainly did. Looked a very good side Belle Vue. Keep everyone fit and available and they’re favourites IMO.
  9. Constant drizzle at the moment half a mile from the track…
  10. It’s an outstanding race track. Even the worst meetings I’ve seen there are still half decent.
  11. Could be very close this one. https://ipswichwitches.co/ipswich-v-belle-vue-raceday-preview-3/
  12. “I feel like they went away with nothing in the end, even though they got the win”

  15. You still haven’t actually read the press release have you?
  16. I’d get used to it if I were you. This sort of thing has been a major bugbear for all of us over the years, but for the time being at least, we’re gonna have to cut them some slack and just go with it.
  17. There’ll be plenty of options even if they’re not eye catching. We have two 3 pointers for a start, one of which is a rising star that we have no choice with, but we have a few lower end averaged riders that could potentially be swapped out at some point. I’m certain as the season progresses more options will become available as the travel plan becomes clearer. This won’t be the 1-7 that finishes the season, that I’ll guarantee.
  18. Not financial, CL explains the reasons in the article. Most of us suspected this was on the cards to be honest. More than one way to skin a cat though. Just have to be careful not to lose too much ground on 4th place until the team looks different than it does currently
  19. We’re already nearly 2 points under, so as soon as Crump drops a point + on his after the first set of averages we should have plenty of options.
