  1. Or I have more tact and style. Again you are not getting personal are you. You used the word Lacky with reference that you said 'you wouldn't want to upset ya mates'. Funny you have repeated the circumstances almost perfect. You used the name cos I wouldn't accept your point of view towards a club matter. So for someone who doesn't get personal you have now used Lacky, Coward, liar and probably other names when talking about the TOON, I am always 'not at the same match you were'. Just because I don't see the game the same as you. You seem to have a problem. END OF.
  2. Where did I say you did. Get reading what I wrote again. You often make it personal as a dig. Who called me a 'Lacky' because I work hard for the club. You might say as you see it, but we get used to you just being a critic for critics sake, gets boring. You're a critic, i'm a supporter. Back to type again, but you don't get personal remember.
  3. You seem to forget that Dandelion has that same right. Who was it who said "It's a forum. It's all about opinions and viewpoints". It's often you that makes it personal, as well I know.
  4. SUNDAY 25th November, 2016 We will be meeting at Brough at 10.00am to do the finishing off of the work in the office complex. Finishing the floor work, laying the lino, fitting the skirting boards, finishing the tiles and generally tidying the place up/ If you can join us it would be appreciated. Hot Drinks and Bickies throughout. See you there in old warm clothing, but we will be indoors.
  5. That brings in another issue. Averages don't include bonus points, so for every 5-1 for LL and Kus between them, they have lost a point, hence slightly lower averages. People conveniently miss out that LL has been our best captain for years. I always stick up for him as I have the regular pleasure of him either helping out at the track in the winter, supporting us when we do presentations and school visits, and the actually assistance that he has given the juniors. No doubt I will be knocked once again for mentioning it, but at least I know it and my knockers don't. Robert I don't think will make a captain and rightly so. He needs to concentrate on himself to further his career.
  6. Apparently has signed for a second level team Lublin ?, but no confirmation of what night he would be riding. Ironic that the pressure on British Speedway to race on one night, and now Poland and their TV seem it's OK to ride on any night to suit the Tele.
  7. Quite correct and the BSPA know it. With more Brits, less need for training foreign riders and therefore less DU"s and guests. There is plenty going on in speedway to achieve the increase in Brit riders. Increased training sessions, British Youth Championships, Poultec schooling, MDL, NJL, Protected team positions and amended match formats, Training days, second half's, etc. Problem is they are all drip feed, but they WILL eventually start producing riders to replace the foreign riders. They have already started to come through from the initial good work of Neil Vatcher and Phil Morris, but in fairness you are needing probably say 4 years before you get a decent middle order team man.
  8. Funningly enough, you were probably better away.
  9. People expect natural things like rainoffs, but it's different when negligence and cover ups are expected to be accepted.
  10. Aye, and the same nerds will be asking why was it changed.
  11. Yes he did. After 4 times asking him to come to Newcastle, Robert remembered and rang Alan Hedley saying something like 'do you still want me'. Yes and it starts at 7.30pm. The Club is right next to the Metro station.
  12. Quite agree, but as other teams sign big riders that means less alternative teams for them to sign for. Given that Robert particularly asked to come to us as it matched his EL commitment to Kings Lynn, and Steve and his wife's family seem to love to come to Brough, I would be quite confident we must be in their frame. Let's hope Monday is Black and White Monday, when we hear some of the signings at the George Talkin at the South Gosforth Club.
  13. And i said we would not think about promotion until it happens. I don't need to read TWK's post.
  14. And I don't think it will be even considered until we have won the playoffs. The TOON is 5 points in the lead and 9 points from the next team in the Championship, but Rafa will not be talking promotion. It's foolish and arrogant to get ahead of yourself, so if it happened, then it happens.
  15. I don't really rate the lad because of his inconsistency, but he always seems to get on the rostrum for meetings like U19 and U21. Strange.
  16. We did consider it once, and that and the lack of travelling away fans killed the idea. Belle Vue our nearest derby, not a runner.
  17. Lucky Berwick, wish we had similar access, instead of 'just Sunday and nowt else'.
  18. Quite agree. Laurence gives his all for speedway, despite health problems, makes mistakes and gets genuine criticism. But if it wasn't for helpers like him, putting their time and effort in, their wouldn't be a sport called speedway for the none attendees and non doers to moan about.
  19. You must be easy put off then. Do you know it he is unavailable, on holiday, etc, but once again moan moan. As has been pointed out on here, the problem with the progression of the Gerhard engine is he is a small unit, and would not appear to be able at this present time to consider mass production. It is out of season, you don't know what he is doing, neither do i BTW, and a week is hardly out of order IMO.
  20. Point I can't understand. With a limiter in place, when it reaches the chosen limit does it cut out or, like the name of the piece of kit, maintain the limit level regardless.
  21. If you are talking about the Honda experiment, your following statements are not true. Honda had won every motorcycle championship, and in an anniversary year, they tried to break into speedway through Mick Grant, their Tech guy and former rider, who was a childhood mate of Eric's. Standard Motorcross engines, either 650 or 450cc's, with gearboxes, were bolted into standard frames, and it was obvious from the outset that the acceleration was woeful, and would have been semi OK only on the large circle circuits at constant revs. The riders hated them, and with the necessary development in engine cases to eliminate the gears, the whole idea was ditched. So your 'shooting itself in the foot again" is not applicable to the BSPA, except to you with your statements.
