NEWCASTLE SPEEDWAY track work As usual we will be down the track on Sunday at 9.30am to complete the office floor repairs. All internal work, so the heavy rain forecast will not affect us. Usual hot drinks and biccies available all day. See you there.

It was reported early on that Chris Morton had lost his house though it.

Connor came up with Lewis Rose, and I believe they come from the same town/village. He enjoyed his visit, but with riding for Mildenhall he is likely to join a more local club. Knight has twitted that he will be unable to start the new season. NJC71 For those reasons I don't see the point of including him again. I know some are suggesting reserves will be weaker, but is that really a reason for including him? Surely that's a better reason for giving a rider who might have more longer term potential a chance? I suspect he will get a place but I think that's more to do with the paucity of riders riding up here. If they had options I doubt he'd be in the team. Of course

With a possible reduction of 8%, if he didn't ride any meetings in 2016.

Interesting signing Bridger to Berwick. Could it be with a Courtney connection, that Mark has worked for or knows Bridger in the past. Just interested.

I now wouldn't mind Danny back. Firstly he's now on a two, and i would expect him to get that practically everywhere, given the reduced nature of the reserves being talked about by other teams.

I believe it was, but the agreement was changed to 25years instead. Maybe the payments going up was just too much to continue. In John Leslie's excellent post above, Post #1261, the new tenants could just rent it, rather than pay the larger payments to try and buy it.

Big thanks to everyone who turned up today at the track. As well as doing about half the work on the office flooring, we also managed a couple of fence repairs, and dug a drainage trench to divert water from getting under the office flooring. 9.30am to 2.00pm, and observed the 11.00pm silence for Remembrance Day. With it being indoor work to finish next week, it shouldn't be weather dependant, so it's another 9.30 am start next Sunday Hope to see you then.

I don't really know, but it might be that his last meetings hadn't been included for the previous average, and the meetings dropped off, due to rolling averages, were on the low side. Just a thought.

I was probably at that meeting. Me and a mate used to spend our two week factory holiday travelling around the tracks sleeping in the car, and taking in all the Diamonds away meetings during that time. Remember getting there in the afternoon at Somerton and parked alongside Pete Kelly, who was on his own and sleeping. It would have had to be about July time as that was the factory holiday period. Would that have been the first League meeting or the friendly.
