Periscope. A Promoters Nightmare App.
Tsunami replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
At the Northern SCB meeting, held before last season, it was said in answer to a question that a camera can be mounted on say the handlebars as long as it was seen to be safe. Meetings referee's decision. Already stated in the rules in a previous post by Alan Jones. -
Lakeside Speedway - Smoke & Mirrors?
Tsunami replied to The Voice Of Reason's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Disgraceful giving the likes of Neil, and similarly John Sampford at Rye House, such stick. These sort of guys have given great service to the sport, and continue to do so. Folks on forums criticising them, are probably not fit to lace their boots up and done fukc all to help the sport. -
The fans who don't like the tractor grading could be satisfied, and might ask for more tractor racing and cut out the bikes.

YES. -
I believe the fixtures are being changed because of Poland Friday meetings.

It was the Duke of Edinburgh's boat, and he used to sail with Uffa Fox. Yes I looked it up.

Actually yes, that is allowed. So it's not a GoSpeed thing. -

You are assuming that the interview that Nicki sought the SS to get the interview to promote himself. Be interesting to know if that it true, or did Philip Rising's reporters seek an interview to counter the one the top Monster promotion stuff we keep hearing about from certain Monster riders. -
Yes, still on town gas and thimble gauzes.

That may be so, but I remember when GoPros were banned in actual racing, it was thought that they were to be universally banned. Clearly that hasn't happened, but nevertheless the SCB banned their use despite what scaremonger speedibee would like everyone to believe. Rib tickling humour it is not. -
The change to a Friday racing was brought about by the TV company, not the individual clubs. The impact on fixtures, and rider availability, is currently under discussion and there could be many changes in the offing.

Better get in touch with the SCB then, I'd rather believe them. It was them that banned them before the last season, and the camera in the helmet mount can cause more damage if a direct hit on the top of the helmet. It's nothing to do with GoSpeed, SKY or any broadcasting rights. More anti Garbage from you. -
So the night before Cardiff then.

Not true. They are banned during official meetings on safety grounds, because the camera and the helmet mounts are deemed to be a weak spot for damage on the head, if hit on the top of the helmet. Riders can and do use them in non official meetings such as practice sessions. -
Good day at the first session at the track. Great turn up from the usual crew, who were joined by new fans having read the clubs website's request. Replaced the 7 fence posts and creosoted all the backs of the kick boards. Weather held off after a severe weather warning but, to be honest, it might have been 5 degrees, feeling like 1 degree, but nobody noticed the cold. We had an early finish and I think everyone is looking forward to painting the kick boards white and fitting them which will start next Sunday at 9.00am. If you want to join us, just pop along for as long as you can spare. Thanks to everyone. Race Night tomorrow at the PTE Club, Byker, and it looks like it's going to have a good crowd. 2016 riders in attendance as well as some ex riders who have said they are putting in an appearance. See you there, free admission with a raffle of course.

I also know of this guy who is asking for £2000 guarantee, and it is from a PL team !!!!
-
It's set by the procedure set out in the rules John. If there is stalemate with an agreed price, the Arbitration kicks in and makes a decision binding on both clubs.
-
Are they just doing Berwick's, or are they going to cover say Newcastle and Sheffield.
-
I have an opinion, just as you have. Top rider in the NJL for last two years, moving up to the NL, good equipment and keen as mustard to progress. But Edinburgh would rather 'fiddle' the rules.
-
Who's doing the filming ?
-
Ryan McDonald from Glasgow. Obvious choice but petty in the extreme to not sign him.
-
Sadly Steve, there has been many marketing consultants employed over the years on behalf of the BSPA, and I don't think they ever answered the questions with anything new like you are suggesting.

Like father like son. Nice.
