For those who knock the efforts of folks who are involved in the youth development of youngsters, especially Neil Vatcher, these are the tip of the iceberg along with Leon Flint, Jack Parkinson-Blackburn, etc. Next year there will be another crop of riders and the more we produce, the less guests and the less Foreign riders, allbeit at a lower team strength. They are the future.

Ironically I was at Berwick's Training session last night, and Danny was probably the best rider on show along with Berwick's Danny Gappmaeir Best wishes to Danny and hope he gets well pretty soon.

Just heard that KL have confirmed that Danny has also broke his back, as well as his femur. Poor lad.

Went very well. Lots of riders, a good track and no one hurt. 6.30 till just after 9.00 which was just about right with one major grading and watering. I spoke to Kieran, and I think he would have loved to have ridden, but he has to rest for a full month before he can ride again.

Ironically he was at the Berwick Training session last night, and was probably the best rider of the night and looked much faster and more confident on his bike. Any ideas of who to replace him that is available full time. I'll start with Jordan Jenkins.

As i have said earlier, I don't think the BSPA have put the money up front, rather a guarantee for a certain number of engines.

Been in hibernation somewhere. Newcastle is now, and has been a proper riders track for some time, at the same time that your track has taken considerable stick from the likes of HalifaxTiger for being too slick with minimum passing and is 100% worse than when Glyn used to do it. How many track curators have you had since then. Even last week, where was the passing in the first 8 heats till it was chewed up a bit and the racing was a different class after that.

He rides a wet track every week at Newcastle, it's just not 4in thick of sludge/dirt.

Hopefully not this year.

Over 10 years out of date. In the early 00's there was a plan to create a live actual meeting using an actual meeting, with transponders on the riders bikes, and they would covert the signals onto a digitised riders on a simulated track. That's why the much laughed at green Helmet cover was introduced. It would have allowed people at home and abroad, the opportunity to bet on races live, with the profit being the BSPA's, after overheads were taken care of. Technical difficulties stopped the initiative, but betting would have been a saviour in those days. Fans laughed at the idea of the green helmet cover, but it was pivotal to the idea for this extra money stream. All promoters attended presentations in London, and it was impressive and looked likely to succeed. I believe horse racing has something similar now called Park Court, or something like that. Digitised horse with riders on, are shown racing for betting purposes. The Far East was the targeted market.

BAGS meetings keep many dog tracks open. They really don't make anything from the people in the stadium, who usually get in free. The filmed racing is sold around the world for very good money, particularly the Far East, and can be a track's biggest source of income. BAGS income a Brough Park is I believe the biggest and is in excess of £500.000. The BAGS syndicate have recently bought out Brough Park from Willian Hill, who are also syndicate members.

There's a lot you don't know about this matter, but I prefer not to put it on here. Turning up and not trying in key meetings didn't enamour him with anybody and that was just the minor thing. BTW Haven't got the averages to hand, but I remember we replaced Jesper Olsen, injured in our first meeting away at Hull for The Premiership, who was on about 7.10. Davey was just under that, and fortunately he was in this country, and we had him signed within about 15 minutes of that meeting end, with us 3 promoters in 3 different cars having triangular discussions on the deal. We could have announced it when we got home about 2.00am but waited till the morning. Quickest transfer replacement ever.

Certainly seems to have been a very good decision based on some spot on forecasting. Damned if you do and damned if you don't, wouldn't it be nice if visiting supporters had the grace to admit and accept that the home promotion saved them considerable problems by calling it off when they did.

Funnily enough I saw her when I went back to the pits for the junior meeting. I thought she was enthusiastically cheering and waving, till I saw what she was doing with her thumb.

Yes, of course it was all tame stuff. He had came to see Morris, and hearing the boos he spurred them on, laughing as he did it. More concerning was the Redcar fans cheeering when Morris fell. That's something that the Bears fans have always level against the Diamonds fans. Interesting to see the usual idiots shouting st Diamonds riders falling on the first bend from the bar terrace. Perhaps they should've been refused alcohol at the bar till they were older. Not a great performance from the Diamonds with the gaters being beaten out of the gates, by the faster racers. Only after the track had settled down, and reworked after heat 8, did it become a contest. Praise to my not favourite rider Barker who was brilliant in his positional racing against a flat out Lambert. No matter where and how Lambert rode, Barker thwarted his line every time. Very clever riding. Why is Mr Hall called "Mr Entertainment" ? Pleased that the three hurt riders in the Cubs/Gems meeting are OK, especially Elliott and Alex from their frightening crash entering the third bend. Hope they and their bikes are in a fit state to race at Worky on Saturday, as well as Scunny on Sunday in the BYC round. Well done Bears, I wonder if the fans will start to return to Brough now that their team is winning ?

You were lucky you only had him for 1 meeting. We rescued his career in 2002, and through his lack of effort, lost a Cup Final and the Premier League championship the year after we won it in 2001. Not bitter mind, but Bye bye.
