  1. hopefully if it is the best stadium in the PL they will allow for the fact that there will be a bigger crowd on sunday than normal and open up extra facilities like the bar on the 1st bend so you don't have to stand in queues for a refreshment or toilets.
  2. good to see Richie and Andrew coming forward for this meeting hopefully some elite league riders can come forward and offer there services for a worthy cause as they cant all be riding in the golden helmet meeting the following sunday
  3. think for 2014 i would be looking for some fresh faces in the team Sam Masters & Taylor Poole are 2 that come to mind, other things like having a consistent track each week so the riders basically know what to expect in regard to there setups.plus a big push on promoting / advertising the fact there is speedway in berwick, which to be fare has improved lately with posters and banners beind displayed more.
  4. Shame that Kozza is missing hopefully Bellego, Aspegren and Barrett will turn up to this meeting as 11 last places out of 12 races at Newcastle between them was simply not good enough, Can see Seb and Starke getting amongst the points but being optimistic we will do well to score 35pts.
  5. think he is keen to come back to berwick for 2014 but you never know with speedway
  6. Disappointing result from a berwick point of view didn't help losing kozza so early in the meeting as for the rest well Seb won a couple of races Matty finished off with 3 successive 2nd places but once again full marks to Paul Starke for 100% effort would like to see him back for 2014. As for the remaining riders 11 last places out of 12 rides does not win you matches. On the plus side - chips and curry sauce were very tasty on a cool night.
  7. so if kozza is longtracking on sept 22nd who will represent berwick at sheffield un plrc
  8. the Tyne Tweed Trophy normally is at start of season but was replaced by Ian Thomas Trophy where Newcastle raced against Workington.
  9. 22nd also the date for PLRC at sheffield
  10. speaking to members of the promotion they all seem very positive about next season, as for the team kozza depending on long track commitments bellego, + 5 more
  11. Result could hinge on the performances of Robin, Paul & Nicki as Somerset look solid all the way from 1-7. Looking forward to the return of Seb although would have preferred it in happier circumstances but with Kozza, David & Matty really riding well lately at home this could go to a last heat decider. Tomorrow is also Ricky's birthday so a win would be a nice present for him. come on lads we can do it.
  12. Tonight I am looking for 3 things Good Meeting, Good Result. but most importantly GOOD NEWS about Ricky
  13. Good luck to the bandits on saturday and also for both sets of riders for a safe meeting, sadly having to miss this meeting as i am on holiday but should be a comfortable win for the bandits.
  14. track has been getting a good soaking this week will probably get anothet soaking after footie if needed
  15. makes them stronger extra rides for summers, dyer, skidmore & wilko think its going to be a close one
  16. not much more in the guest department going, out of the 7 teams without a fixture that night Sheffield, Scunthorpe reserves were poor when they were here not worth getting a guest from Ipswich, Plymouth or Somerset due to travelling involved which leaves Glasgow who have Bates guesting for Redcar and Workington which probably explains why Ashley is guesting for Berwick.
  17. last night was Edwards 3rd home meeting his previous appearance being the sky match, to be fair he has been more benificial at away meetings where he has top scored in all 3 he rode in especially when he would never have ridden at redcar or plymouth in the past.
  18. Would expect that to happen but Berwick not saying much on the situation cant see it being the next few weeks so if Ricky is fit to ride might be nearer august unless he rides elsewhere
  19. Think ashworth is all clear to ride again
  20. was at the meeting last night and despite the weather saw some good racing the highlight being Kennetts manouvre to come from last to 1st awesome ride. Redcar are a very solid side from 1 - 7 and one of the big differences was there reserves getting paid 20pts between them compared to the 2pts the berwick reserves managed between them.I expected Summers and the one that got away Dyer to be amongst the points but Ostergaard really looks as though he is enjoying his speedway again. For the bandits Kennett put in a brilliant display and there ware also battling performances from Bellego and Wethers little bit suprised with Kozzas performance as he has been riding well lately while for Aspegren, Barrett, & Starke it was not to be as i say i enjoyed the meeting despite the result and i wish Redcar all the best in there efforts to get an airfence in place for next season.
  21. Weather fine at the moment fingers crossed it stays that way for any heathens fans coming up visit the black and gold club next to the stadium
