Nl Cut Off Date- September 11th
CrystalCastles replied to CrystalCastles's topic in National League Speedway
I hope someone with more time can post the remaining fixtures for the teams still left with a chance. There are also quite a few the last week before it & bad weather in that week for any team on a given day potentially could cost a play off place. Personally i think Stoke & Scunny will definitely both make it, but the battle for the other two spots will be really tight. Im going to go for Stoke Scunthorpe/Sheffield Belle Vue Mildenhall -
In this Weeks SS Peter Morrish states that the cut off date is going to be the 11th September. Who do people think will finish in the top 4?

Scunthorpe/sheffield Vs Dudley

The first Big match in a big weekend of NL Speedway. If the Worralls & Birks are on form can see the Saints being too strong in this one. Should be a cracker, the Heathens fans will undoubtedly be travelling in numbers, so should get a good crowd. Scunthorpe 51 Dudley 41 -
Would also imagine rider replacement will be in operation for the Potters with Tim taking a break atm. Another big match in the race for the Top 4 or more likely Top Spot.
-
Preview can be found here Given the League positions this could be a big match for both teams, have to agree with TA, think Dudley will present one of the toughest tests for the Potters around Loomer Road. With Tim having had a few crashes in the past few weeks he is taking a break sadly so R/R will be in effect at no2 for Tim, everybody is eligible for a ride. Pickard has been handed the responsibility of riding at Number 5 rather than TA, which for me indicates how much progress he has made this year. Dudley will be coming into this having raced at the EWR on friday night in another crucial match in there push for a top 4 finish, whilst Adam Roynon has had a bit of a bad run since his return, hopefully he will have overcome the problems he has faced due to a few crashes. Il go for Stoke 49 Dudley 41

Good win for IOW & Buxton have got to be pleased nicking a point. Great to see Starke & Warwick in amongst the points for the Islanders & Priest & Allott for the Hitmen.

Depends on your viewpoint, which we are all entitled too. He is without a doubt hugely talented and amongst the best Aussie prospects of his age group. I feel certain that he will improve at an exponential rate now hes riding NL & continue that for the rest of the season & over in Aus. However im unconvinced that he is quite ready for the PL yet,for a couple of reasons although he has the rest of the NL season to get to that point. Yes hes banging in the points but for me the best indicator of how ready he is for PL action is if he is beating Ex & Current PL reserves (Who are currently NL heatleaders) consistently home & away & as yet he hasn't ridden from the #1 berth for The Fen Tigers, but given his performances from reserve he should take that position. When he starts beating the top NL riders on a consistent basis, which im fairly certain that he will, then i will be convinced that he is. -
That's great news. Cheers for the post Bryn.

Thanks for taking the time to point it out. Perhaps not my best choice of words ever. I do apologise if its upset anyone. All I ment was given his form thus far he has done brilliantly & clearly is talented & therefore I expected him to go to QM & realistically beat the riders he did. -

Well done Todd Feel sorry for the Fen Tigers who perhaps deserved more looking at updates. Interesting performance from Heeps, undoubtedly hugely talented but up till his crash he only beat riders he's already better than. For me question marks about how ready for PL he is remain. -

Official match preview can be found here If Cameron Heeps rides as well as he did at Dudley, the Hornets could be turned over relatively easily. -
A very big line Interesting stuff all that would have definitely contributed, i just hope he doesn't take a liking to the QM track Saturday. We have already been , think KL are the visitors on the 6th.

. IMO this was one of the toughest away tests he'd face, he's banged in some good scores this year. But sometimes riding at reserve if managed effectively a reserves performance doesnt always effect a riders true ability. However tonight IMO Lot of experience & quality amongst brit youngsters in the Dudley side & a track most people take some adjusting too. IMO therefore clearly tonight he has emphatically demonstrated he is quality rider.
-
Must be the performance of the NL season from Heeps. Personally I think he's showed how good he is tonight & shown he is ready for PL next year. So glad people who support NL teams have had or will have the chance to see him.
-
Wow Heeps. Performance or what!
-
That would be my fault not Clints. Many apologies. I had a big night out on Friday.
-
Some good action, good advert for NL speedway. All the Islanders rode well, felt they deserved the point possibly more. We started off slow. JWW found last seasons form from nowhere. Turning the match on its head. Kurtz was a level above anybody else. Track was fab for an afternoon meeting. Enjoyed it. Had a free 'bow of the dad so all good .

Meeting Preview Hopefully this should be as entertaining a match as the clash in the KOC was. Although both teams will go in with changed line ups to that clash. Hornets 54 IOW 38
-
I take it you enjoyed your trip
-
Well done to the Potters I even managed to predict the scoreline on the updates site, Get in . Got a prediction right for once.
-
Hope you enjoy your trip, I think you could well steal a win. Make a big to the potters league position especially if you picked up all 4 points.
-
Damn i was out by a point on both sides. Great win for Stoke, with everybody contributing. The Colts put up a decent display against a very strong Stoke side. Good performance from Timbo
-
Should be a cracker, Stoke should have enough to pick up the win though. Stoke 54 Belle Vue 39

Well done Scunthorpe. Great performances from Irving & Birks. Irving particularly has made great progress imo dominant at home, better away & put some good scores in at PL level, well done. Wrathall, Nielsen & Worral provided good support tonight as well by the looks of it. Hornets did as I expected, happy enough with the performance.
