  1. It hasn't been taken seriously by the MSM for years, regardless of scoring.
  2. I wasn't there but I've long held the view that bad speedway is worse than no speedway and this doesn't change my mind. BTW, Newtongrange didn't run in 1972 only 1970 & 1973.
  3. A broken thigh is a broken leg unless you mean the other leg too.
  4. Sad to hear that Chum Taylor, #2, has died aged 98.
  5. They also did it with the very first British GP. moving it from Arena Essex to Hackney.
  6. The 1967 WTC was also held in Malmo. If it was the same track then maybe that programme could help?
  7. I've always wondered why Malmo was chosen in the first place as I don't believe it was exactly a speedway hotbed.
  8. That and the live coverage tucked away on an app.
  9. What a win! Great ride from Bewley and Lambert was truly world class tonight.
  10. There is complete radio silence/censorship that N.Korea/China would be proud of, on all the grasstrack sites about this. It's as though the meeting never happened.
  11. Equally impressive was the fact that their 4 bikes proved to be durable enough to last the night under extreme use.
  12. That private education was wasted on him.
  13. I couldn't think of any other Rosses though and you said "Middle names ARE acceptable".
  14. Vernon Walter Ross Gilbertson Cecil Bailey Marcus Bisson
  15. I have recently acquired some old Rye House programmes from their SAL days in 1955/6. What is curious is that all races were over 3 laps. Given that, other than very early on, races have always been over 4 laps, I wonder why this was so?
  16. 31st May 1978, Poole v Belle Vue Malcolm Simmons, Alan Wilkinson, Danny Kennedy, Chris Turner. Just Chris Turner still with us.
