Some years ago, the Wimborne grasstrack club were seeking a new venue and were offered land somewhere near Fordingbridge. The village locals were having none of it and one of the most vociferous opponents was one M.Walker - yes, the very same.

An ex-rider told me that everything is rosy when it is all still second nature. When it isn't, when the thinking starts to pre-dominate then it's time to quit. The latter happens with age and Crumpy is 44. Will certainly be an interesting watch.
So, if Lees has a valid claim to have invented foot-forward, is it clear who invented leg-trailing?
