Lewis's races didn't get any points against Glasgow riders. If he had beat 4 Glasgow riders that would be an 8 point swing and Berwick nearly getting a point. Cannot complain about that.

Are Sheffield not claiming a facility for Jack who has stepped down from their team. If he gets a ban will he be allowed to race for Birmingham in the conference league?

Don't even need to bother with heat 13 &15. Taking position's where they were would mean a 4 point swing Workington's way in heat 1. There would have been 2 point's off in heat 7 for the tactical. Heat 11 was a 3-3 before Lewis came off so a 4 point swing Berwick's way there. The ref giving the rider who crossed the finish line 1st in heat 14 is another 2 point Berwick swing. All this would mean Workington would have left empty handed.

Jim was probably at Berwick last Saturday night to see Jason gain an advantage at the start in at least 3 of his races (was standing on the first bend for the first 4 heats so unable to say about them).

I don't think another rider has had their average reassessed before they have completed the required meetings. If the BSPA decides that Berwick should be the first again then they will probably need to add 6 last places to his total races this season to give him a look of having raced the required meeting's. Seem to remember a few year's ago they were the first (and probably only) team to be refused a team declaration because the rider raced for them the previous season (tried to introduce the rider one month into the season).

Was going to go tonight as not been since opening night (wedding's, holiday's etc). Is Dany racing? Claus was dropped for missing last week (had rider replacement) and we only get a conference league rider for Dany?

Some say he was upset at not getting heat 15 and others questioning if he wanted heat 15? Not being at the speedway since the opening meeting (due to other commitments) I cannot tell. I did speak to someone after the Glasgow meeting and he told me he thought that Claus possibly had a clutch problem or similar due to just about hitting the fence 3 or 4 times in heat 11. He was just trying to guess when I asked why he wasn't in heat 15.

Nothing against Rory but I hope Lewis Bridger, Richard Lawson, Richie Worrall etc get fixed up with premiership places before he does. . Good to hear last night's meeting was saved by covers and was a good meeting. Good luck to the witches in the next round.

You will be happy then since Ipswich meet Berwick next weekend. I am unable to comment on either match due to being at a wedding on Saturday and not wanting to drive to Newcastle today.

Thought with it being an open meeting both excluded riders would be allowed back in. When I went round to the stand I spoke to a couple of people saying the ref (Jim) could have allowed all 4 back in as it was on the first bend. One of them said they thought it was a trainee ref (could be getting tested or anything?). Enjoyed my day at the football and speedway (will need to wait another 4 weeks until back due to holiday and other function's).

Newcastle is a good program so deserves the PL title (was the 2 times I was there). I don't understand why the last 2 years Berwick program is listed as £3 when it's £2 every time I am there. Will hopefully see what both are like at the end of March (if the weather is half decent).

When Glasgow signed Nick Morris what average did he come in on? (I cannot remember) Did he not have dual nationality and has since went on to represent Australia.

I think Sam Masters will be better than Lawson next season but the last time I checked Lawson was 3rd in the Glasgow averages so having your 3rd heat leader as a category 2 rider isn't bad.

That was my thinking but an Australian was suggested in a double change so I was wondering if we now had a sponsor's visa.

I take it Berwick now has a sponsors visa? When people were suggesting names it was said by someone that we couldn't sign an Australian due to the visa's.

Thanks for that. I was at the races on Saturday on the beer but I thought Scott said something on the radio about getting point's back with 2 point reserves and getting point's back with 5 point riders not going lower than 4. As I say I had been on the beer

Does Gappmaier get an average reduction also since he was below 5?

I wasn't to amused finishing my holiday and going to a meeting with 6 guest's. I think I will give the speedway a miss for the rest of the season (Berwick have completed all matches). The Peterborough rider's will have made travel arrangement's before they signed with Peterborough. Who would pay for them to change their plans?

Just on the averages page and Berwick 39.10 with Gappmaier on a 5 (Somerset are 47.44). Hopefully see a middleweight beating a heavyweight on Monday night.

Thought so. Somerset will be top and Berwick won't qualify so was thinking Berwick would have raced when Somerset at Edinburgh or Glasgow or Newcastle (on a Saturday night). Hopefully Berwick get to the semi final of the cup or my speedway season will be over.

I will miss the meeting on the Monday (away on holiday this Saturday morning). Can meeting's (PL matches) be run after the cut-off date?

Some strange decision's last night (Jakobsen locked up in front of Pijper causing him to take evasive action, Jakobsen reered at the gate not falling off and getting a re-run, Morris getting the best flyer of the season etc). Thought Peterborough were worth the win (left when Danny crashed as on night-shift). Some around me were saying about moving riders around (looked at the 5 progs I can see from the 7 meeting's I've attended and we haven't swapped riders around in the meeting's). Was some of the Berwick rider's out after the meeting checking set-ups etc for next week?

Superb effort getting a 21 point max but would like to have seen him beat Cook and Jonsson. There are a lot of people getting maximum's this year.
