Had to race on Ole Olsen gating tart slick specials that really didn't suit his skill set. Only Gollob and Hancock managed to score more points than Bomber in the last 4 GPs so what were all the riders you think are better doing in the last third of the season? 1 GP podium might be a fluke but 3 out of 4 to end the season and 4 podiums in total- How many podiums did these "better" riders achieve? My recollection is that only Gollob, Hampel and Crump had more podiums during the season. Niamh

So you predict that a rider who was on the podium in 3 of the last 4 races this year will be one of the worst riders in GPs next year? I think that if Bomber maintains that form he'll be knocking on the door of the top 3. Niamh

A few years ago when we were too late to get a room in Cardiff we stayed in a B&B out in Barry and took the train in and back out. Niamh

If Tai's reported comments regarding him really being an Aussie are true then I don't think he should be considered for a pick in the "GB quota" Niamh

Given that he has performed very near top 3 standard in the latter part of the season I see no reason to be negative about his abilities, unlike certain posters... Niamh.

I'd like to see Tai announce that he doesn't want a nomination and that he wants a year or two to put in place what he's learned from this year. If he does that it'll take the wind out of the sails of anyone pushing for him to get another nomination. Niamh

Or one could credit BSI for giving a nomination to a rider with the talent to finish in the top 6... Niamh

So in order to be up to GP standard a rider needs more than 3 podium finishes... so next year we'll have Gollob, Crump and Hampel in a 3 man GP series. Niamh

I think that if he fails to quailfy in the top 8 that Greg should announce his retirement. All good things come to an end and it would be nicer if the decision to go is his. Niamh.

The make up of the team at any particular event isn't the point, William Lawson is qualified to ride for the team but if the team was England he wouldn't be. Niamh.

Which is why a rule allowing 1 substitution only would be better, the manager can pull a rider having an off day without needing the help of a doctor, but by doing so he runs the risk of not having a substitute available in the event of injury later. It's the managers call and eliminates any suggestion of subterfuge. Niamh

That was the problem, Walasek was declared unfit by the doctor, but given that it was a polish doctor there have been suggestions that it was a very convenient decision to declare someone riding badly unfit. Niamh

But it does show that a roof won't guarantee an event. My memory says that the shale was delivered very wet and that the weather was to cold for it to dry sufficiently. Niamh

Have a reserve that can be swapped in at any time, but the rider replaced can't come back so if a reserve replaces a rider out of form and the team later has an injury then they will have no reserve available. A nice gamble for the team manager. Niamh
