  1. Obviously you think there is a possibility that Lewis is telling the truth. You indicate that in the highlighted sentence. Perhaps, because of that, you could cut him some slack? As I said earlier, I have modified my views because of this and because his actions would seem to be symptomatic of Depression. I hope like hell he doesn't suffer from it, but if he does, he needs our sympathy not our condemnation.
  2. Not very successfully it appears at the moment. Perhaps Tai has struck the right balance after all. All you have to do is look at their relative positions in the GP Series.
  3. I could never be accused of that Humphrey. I certainly agree with you about that.
  4. Well I haven't been to a Speedway Meeting for about a year now. I will not return until the 'Double Points' fiddle is history. As soon as it is removed - I will return, until then then - I am a Television viewer of Speedway only. Never a truer word spoken. The 'Play Offs' is another one of my hates. As I have said many times - it often cheats the League Champions out of the League Championship for some other undeserving Club. ................ and some people say that the Grand Prix System has no effect on British Speedway.
  5. A bit cynical that Humphrey. Philip is trying to communicate an answer to a question he was asked. He has given, what seems to me, a very logical and fair assessment of where his Magazine is standing on Costs, Circulation etc. He should be given credit for that. You know me - I am VERY anti the GPs - but - I do also believe in fairness.
  6. Well said. I have modified my views, more than somewhat, since I heard that Lewis Bridger was suffering from Depression.
  7. I've always admired PK. I was well chuffed when he rode for Belle Vue. He still rides very well and is a tremendous example to young Riders on how to conduct yourself in public. My wife used to love his Swedish/Midland accent as well. He is a true 'Star' of Speedway.
  8. Smashing Tribute LS. Thank you. Ian.
  9. Well - it certainly needs something. Wouldn't it be great though if all those mentioned could all do one more Meeting. Aahhhhh!!! Dreams and Memories.
  10. R.I.P. + Arne. I never saw him ride sadly.
  11. He was a smashing Rider (actually my fayourite). Actually he is a smashing bloke as well. http://www.defunctspeedway.co.uk/Canterbury.htm Just scroll down - Team Photo - Graeme is in the white leathers on the Bike.
  12. A great Rider to watch CHR. He had a very relaxed style, looked like he was riding an armchair at times. He was nicknamed 'The White Knight' because of his white leathers. The reason I have it as my Username on this Forum.
  13. Graeme Smith of Rayleigh, Sunderland, Canterbury and Reading.
  14. Whilst I agree with you in your comments, I would also like to point out that his Polish Team Supporters would feel exactly the same had the dreadful accident happened in this Country at Kings Lynn.
  15. There is a subtle difference between Dishonesty and Fraud (FIFA) to a certain incompetence (BSPA). Plus - I don't think Speedway is big enough to worry about. I wish it were.
  16. Only an idiot probably. Remember - Speeedway is a simple Sport.
