  1. Come on guys - you are very lucky to have a Team. I wish we had one at Sunderland.
  2. C'mooooon the 'Diamonds'. I hope we can do reasonably well here - but particularly, no injuries to either Team please.
  3. I saw some superb Pairs Meetings years ago. Peter Collins, Malcolm Simmons, Michael Lee and Dave Jessup to name just four of the many British Riders who graced the World Pairs Championship in past years. So very, very sad. Indeed - those were the days.
  4. The Belle Vue v. Poole thing didn't help either I suppose. Shame though.
  5. Thank you very much for this information mdmc82. :approve:
  6. Only an opinion - which are like a**eholes - everybody has one. Personally I like what Ian Botham brings to the commentating table. THAT is only my opinion of course.
  7. Trust me - wrong again. I was thinking that Wolber would be a German name.
  8. Tai was extremely lucky to get away with that. It could have been very nasty indeed.
  9. Nice clip. My guess would be Germany.
  10. Cricket, Football and occasionally WWE for a laugh. I didn't realise the Sheepdog Trials could be classed as a Sport - I watch them both live and on the Television.
  11. Give me a decent Single Malt any day. :approve:
  12. A real shame the Meeting is off Dave despite the best efforts of you and your Team.
  13. ............................ and vivid imaginations. "The Plane, the Plane". Quote: (Tattoo - Fantasy Island).
  14. Well nigh impossible if your Speedway Track is in a Greyhound Stadium. Think of the Rent if the Promoter does not own the Stadium. Nice idea - but - a no goer.
  15. The Track used to be great in the early days. It is sad reading how things seem to have deteriorated of late.
  16. I am very saddened by this news. I have admired Richie Benaud since I first started watching and appreciating Cricket on the Television. As a very successful Australian Captain it was amazing to me how he became so loved and admired here in England, a place where he had success for Australia. Most Australian Cricket Captains are hardly known as lovable characters in this Country, but Benaud transcended that, he became an icon in the Cricket world. He was an honest Commentator with a great way with words - he could be very economical with his words too - unlike too many of today's Commentators who seem to spend a lot of time talking about irrelevancies. Once again I sadly have to reflect that yet another part of my youth has gone and, to me anyway, will be sadly missed. "Stumps". R.I.P. + Richie Benaud - you were a good'un.
