WHY??? If Speedway is on Television next year - I hope ALL Speedway is given a fair crack of the whip. If the Elite League has to lose some of it's status - then so be it. You said it yourself "two of the best matches I've seen this year was the Premier League matches at Somerset and Berwick". I would like to see some National League Speedway too.

I think you will find that THAT is EXACTLY the point. I would love it in one sense - because again it would be proof positive that my opinions about the 'Play Offs' are correct. BUT - it would also make me sad because, once again, Speedway's credibility would suffer. I don't like that.

I hope that you will forgive me for laughing my backside off at these and other comments on here. TOTALLY proves my Case that the 'Play Offs' are not FAIR - nor are they RIGHT, LOGICAL, MORAL or anything else. WELL - as SO many people have said to me - "you knew the Rules at the start of the SEASON etc'.. Speedway has dug it's own grave with these bl**dy 'Play Offs' that you all seem to be SO fond of - LIVE WITH IT!!!! - I HAVE TO!!!! :mad: :mad:

George Barclay I believe was a late starter in the 1970's. A late finisher too - he still Rides nowadays and trains young Riders at Lakeside I think. A great servant to the Sport. :approve:

Excellent Post Grand Central. I have learned a lot from it. Anything that helps with Rider Safety has to be a good thing. I honestly believe that Air Fences, fitted properly, is the way to go.

Sadly there is no perfect System. Double Points though is the WORST System of the lot as far as I am concerned.

No - we are NOT!! What we ARE doing is reducing the risk of serious injury. NO System on this Planet is infallible and incidents (like Chris Holder's) will ALWAYS happen as long as Riders ride Speedway. As I say - all we can do is to try and MINIMISE that risk - and - THAT we are doing with Air Fences. In my opinion - they are a MUST.
