  1. I purchased it and watch on my PC - works just fine. I'd watch it on me smart telly, but wifey won't let me - she prefers Ant & Dec and The Voice
  2. in a similar vein, while at NA the other week for the Poole match my mate noticed the race times on speedway updates didn't match those given out at the stadium, not one single heat. Suspect this wasn't the updaters, but the updater taking the times off Sky who show their own version of race times
  3. It is the racing that matters, but it helps to enhance the experience if the commentators are your cup of tea. They personally work for me, and I have to say Saturday was just brilliant all round. To a degree it has to be 'jobs for the boys' as its much more interesting listening to guys who know what they are talking about, not joe bloggs off the street. I share Kelvin's name too, but only in the christian name so I'm not related either
  4. Kings Lynn tend to start on time. 7.30pm parade, 7.45pm first race. If there is a big queue outside they do delay the parade 5-10 mins, but still seem to start first race around 7.45pm. Not really sure why lots of people always seem to turn up at the last minute...does annoy me when things are delayed due to queues still outside when I've made an effort to get there on time. You never hear of football kick off being delayed due to queues outside. It is a 2 way thing though - if promoters were more professional in running a tight ship, then punters would know better where they stood.
  5. One race day has to be the way forward and the pre-requisite for any team being in the EL and then a TV package that included best races from the other meetings (bit like goals shown for footy) would work well. But would it put more bums on seats or would more people settle for a night in front of the telly? To make that work and get people in to the 'stadiums' would need some serious thought by promoters at improving the overall product and presentation
  6. watched the highlights show lastnight...all done in 2 hours... £2.99 well spent - beat trying to find some dodgy internet feed as I refused to take out a sky subscription just for speedway
  7. I've got no packages...just the bog standard freeview stuff...hence £2.99 for me...
  8. £2.99 sounds like a real bargain - always avoided sky as didn't want everything else
  9. Just had another look at this, couldn't make my mind up last night when I watched the footage, but for me Neilsen was at fault. Coming out of 4th bend Adam was on the line and in front. Nielsen was on the outside and behind, but had more speed so came across Adam and tried to clamp him on the line coming out of the corner (which is why Adam looked across). Adam had nowhere to go. Still a racing incident though with no malice inteneded either way. Get well soon Adam
  10. They were the obvious 4 tbh....MJJ may have snucked in but his performance in the GP challenge and suspect UK form probably blew that for him allowing Tai the nod to be the UK entry..
  11. MJJ should have had two wilds card...NKI more than deserved it - hope he gets through to be a fully fledged GP rider next year
  12. Its a shame in these circumstances that an all 4 back decision can't be made, although just because there was no contact meant it wasn't Holders fault...hmmm..... Although Holder didn't touch Sayfutdinov, you could see Sayfutdinov have to adjust his line at the last moment and with Linback right beside him caused the melee. If Linback hadn't have been there they'd have all got round the turn. Holder was certainly the catalyst in my eyes, but Sayfutindov was the unlucky scapegoat
  13. Interesting turn of events....certainly Tom isn't consistent enough to be number one, although his form over the final few weeks did improve drastically. If he does end up at no.1 it would have to be with Schrammy and Sanchez in the team to give us good all round strength. As much as I enjoyed the Nerminator a few seasons back, I don't think he is likely to be the answer either...unless he comes in in a decent average - he would be too much of a risk on a 9 point average. I'd personally rather see Ryan Fisher, of course we loved to boo him as some of his tactics appear a little dubious at times, but he is a showman and character and I'm sure we'd soon warm too him.....then we'd see all the decisions in a different light....
  14. As Kings Lynn are in the PL, whenever they sign a young rider with bags of talent and ambition who improves quickly like Darcy or Lasse the best we or any other PL track will manage is a year or two out of the youngster as they are gonna want to move onwards and upwards. Lasse should hopefully improve his average next season so would be a good rider for any PL team to have next year....I'd much rather he ride for us for a season than go elsewhere in the PL. We will never keep these sort of riders for long unless we went Elite League so we just have to enjoy them and benefit from them while we can.
  15. Not team related, but just read on the EDP site that World Team Cup is back at the NA again next season.... Notes to myself...get there earier this time (to avoid traffic queues) and remember where car is in the car park!
  16. Dooly, Tom, Adam and Lasse are certs. I think Kozza could do with a year away so bringing back Schrammy or Sanchez is fairly certain - both would help beef up the team away from home. Wouldn't like to pick the final 2 - most of the obvious choices have already been mentioned, but would think Poole, Davies, Kerr are unlikely as we wouldn't get them away from their current teams. J Lo would be a risk after his big accident then year out. Eklof with the right head on would be a good choice, but would also be a risk. Not sure what average Christian Henry is on, but he ought to be a consideration as well if he is still riding? Maybe even Millsy on decent equipment...
