  1. Kerr rode for Newcastle yesterday With two evenly matched teams I can see two good matches, but home wins in both cases. If there is no Lambert that puts a slightly different view of things. Will it be r/r or guest?
  2. If Doyle had drifted out into Harris's path after passing then agree Doyle should have gone, but he didn't, he stayed close to the kerb (ditto his Kildemand pass at Cardiff). Pedersen's pass of Kildemand at Cardiff was the correct call as Pedersen didn't have enough room to make the pass in the first place. I know its a thin line, but feel the ref is getting it wrong in some cases....
  3. Getting a bit fed up with referee's. Chris Harris should have been excluded as Kildemand should have been in last GP. Riders are making a clean pass going into bends 1 or 3. Rider on outside turns in to try and hold position even though the pass has already been made, resulting in their front wheel hitting the back wheel of the rider in front...NOT the other way round. There'll be no point trying to overtake soon.
  4. What would be a good idea would be to know the circumstances of the accidents (including track/weather conditions) and where they took place, then this could be turned into a useful thread by seeing what could be done to improve safety. There is the obvious issue of air fences that lift on impact from bikes and riders then follow in and hit a hard barrier (Rory, Hampel, etc). Are there any more common threads, do any particular tracks/conditions attract more issues...?
  5. the track tonight will probably be the key. As it slickened off last time poole were here, they improved. With the warm weather its gonna be similar to the end of that meeting. Stars really are gonna have their work cut out. Only hope Milik can carry on from last week and Bjerre and Porsing continue to show improved form, then its game on!
  6. and how long will I need to give myself to get down the A47, going past the Norfolk Showground as everyone is leaving the Norfolk Show for the day....its usually big queues and a pain in the wotsit
  7. According to twitter, Rory should be there courtesy of a lift from Ash.
  8. Exactly. Until he, or any other Brit learns to ride the big fast European tracks (not the smaller/trick tracks in the UK), they will never compete on the world stage.
  9. Perhaps a survey is needed on the bits people read also with a view as to which sections people would like to see expanded/shrinked? I never look at the grass track section for example so wouldn't be sorry to see that go...or if people do read it, only include when there isn't a GP to report on...
  10. Hope you stay away more often....seemed to improve the racing
  11. As regards the sun, didn't really understand the delayed start having a few races then stopping again. They may as well as started at the normal time and got a few more races before the enforced sun break. Kevin vs Matt........no contest....Kevin was much more enjoyable to listen too - more knowledgable, better interviews, not permanently inane shouty shouty comments. Kind of expected Poole to come back at us as the track slickened off, but luckily we'd done enough earlier. Didn't predict the 1-5 against NKI and Robert though..made the run in closer than it should have been
  12. Where did that come from! Especially with Puk unable to gate for a toffee. Expected those Pirates to walk off with all the points. Good show from Sam stepping in for Rooboy. Much improvement from Ashley, was a shame he had to be pulled from one race for the greater good of the team. Keep it up! Still not convinced with Porsing. Getting well p1ssed off with this sun break lark. How come it never used to be an issue until the last season or two?
  13. Was definitely a strange one with Niels out of sorts a bit. Few races where we got beat up in the first bend. Ash seemed to try hard and I think he was more concerned with Josh Bates clattering into the side of him in his last race, which he tried to do several times. Lambert value for money as usual now. He must get a spot for the WTC surely? Although we lost the last heat 5-1, it was very enjoyable tussle between Rory and Freddie. And why the delay for sun, then starting when the sun was lower and presumably worse? Thought we were in for a very looooong wait tonight. Rather than Buster have a dig at riders and tinted goggles, I'm sure it wouldn't take much to put something (temporary) up behind bends 1/2 when its sunny. Even the electronic scoreboard casts a shadow, so something big and wider should do the job. Think of the advertising space you could sell...
  14. ...and don't forget the 30 minute sun delay at the start......
  15. No consistency problems at all. Sky = Meeting on at all costs, No Sky = Sensible decision made
  16. and that comes back to one/two set (midweek) nights for Elite League racing to avoid weekend/international/polish/swedish... I never thought I'd take to Kings Lynn moving from Saturdays to Wednesday, but now I can see me speedway and keep the family happy at weekends.
  17. saves me worrying about whether to risk it for a swiskit or not....
  18. Can see a very soggy Adrian Flux Arena beating the Stars, if not then should be a comfortable home win
  19. Has to be shorter straights imo, KL tends be won on the riders who have the faster/more powerful set ups. If the straights were a bit shorter and wider bends I reckon it would bring it back to more skill based to a degree. Not sure i'd class Mildenhall as good track - the shape is ok, just too small for today's bikes, certainly at PL/EL level.
  20. We'll swap your Hans for our Bjerre.....on Kenny showing tonight (almost) anything would be an improvement. Wasn't sure if Robbo stopped for end of the race or got in a muddle trying to block Porsing as he couldn't work out where he was. Either way, nearly a nasty moment there. Stars rode well with one exception (no prizes for guessing who). Even Ash did ok....seemed to get out of the gate well, often in front just didn't seemed to have the speed or quite know where to go once in front....hopefully that will start to come together for him soon. Anyone else think Rory got 3rd on the line in a cracking last heat? I know view from first bend ain't great but thought he got Harris and wasn't far off Jonas. If I'd have been Rob Lyon I'd have been very tempted to put Lewis in for Bjerre's last ride... Overall good meeting I thought with plenty of over taking. Looked a very poor crowd, can only assume the weather put people off, but other than the sun delay everything and the cold towards the end it was hunky dory. Note to Buster - PLEASE PLEASE put some hoarding or summat behind the first bend to block out the low sun - its not rocket science.
  21. forecast looking hopeful tomorrow night, and then the stars will sting those bees in a backlash from our poor performance on Monday....Stars win by 8
  22. Cookie looked good last night at Kirky Lane, but he needs to show that sort of form away from home to start making real progress. At the Norfolk Arena earlier this season he was pants, not the rider you'd want in the first round of the World Team Cup imo.
  23. 3rd place for the mighty stars is not out of the question. 1st or 2nd might be bit out of our reach though looking at lineups. Would be good if there was a stream so we us stuck in the UK could watch it
