  1. We need Lawson to score more than 4 to help us win the match. Cook dropping to 6 is worse that his current position in the team. Maybe that will force a team change if your numbers are correct... Can't see this being anything other than a rain off....if the stocks were cancelled on Saturday you'd hope the track is in a better place to start with to give Buster a chance...
  2. Kerr steamed inside Dan, didn't appear to be contact and there was still room for Dan to turn.. brave call from the ref, but I think the correct one Thought Rob had dropped a rare clanger as I'd have given Luke his 3rd ride in heat 13 to allow Nicolai in heat 14 and more chance of points. As it turns out, it all worked out in the end, nice to put one over the witches for a change... one happy lynn supporter! Good all round team effort. Makes you wonder what could have been with 2 unlucky home defeats earlier in the season and at least 2 if not 3 away matches where we could have won but for our usual injury curse - would have been well in the mix for the playoffs
  3. What a p1sstake... no disrespect to Simon, but he's hardly a replacement for Ben Cook. Glad I'm away on holiday for this one, hope I don't get a 28 day ban! Lynn had better come up with a better team for Thursday as was planning a trip to foxhole....
  4. Oh gawd....never rains.... Hope not to serious and he makes a speedy recovery
  5. One wonders if Jack needed to tend his sick child as well (hope they are OK BTW, whatever it is..) so to save face Sheffield wanted a postponement as well....stead has been remarkable quiet on the situation....
  6. Not sure I'd want tofty back in the team, he used to be almost 3rd heat leader standard, but when he last rode for us he was pretty pish... Basso?
  7. Bit of rain today but mostly dry thereafter would have made perfect conditions. Obvious to everyone it's an injury rain off... would have potentially been bans for jan and Ben if they didn't ride... Best all round for us. No different to early ipswich call off a few weeks back
  8. If we have that team, leicester will produce a rough track with their win at all costs attitude they admitted last time we were in town. S0d the entertainment... ....and we wonder why crowds are poor
  9. If it's a dislocated shoulder, I'm no expert, but I'd be surprised if it's just a week out. When will we actually have some good luck for a change...
  10. I was surprised Rob didn't do that - he is normally more on the ball and one of the best team managers in the league
  11. Like your positive attitude, but we rarely do anything half decent at Owlerton. Should be able to keep it closer than normal, but I still fear a 10+ point defeat. Prove me wrong Stars.... PLEASE!
  12. Assume Ben has a visa to live in the uk so needs to ride here as part of visa conditions.... if he's not riding here then does he have to go back to Australia so can't ride in Poland either? Different situation to Musielak...
  13. Or a fit Ben Cook could have made a difference.... or Kildermand not got injured at the weekend. All 'if' 'buts' and 'maybes'. It's what happens on the day and over the last few seasons we've had more than our fair share of things not working out for reason or another. We won, we happy, on to the next one! 3 points behind Leicester... c'mon the stars...
  14. Good win for the Stars. Doyle clearly not fit in his first 2 rides, gating and trying to ride smoothly round inside. Turned up to avoid 28 day ban so he can ride later in week in Poland? Ipswich seemed to crumble after he pulled out, or did it just give the stars a morale boost. Either way, it turned the match. Klindt and to a lesser degree Lawson looked really poor in first few rides then suddenly turn into match winners. Good debut for Jody, very promising. Nki was trying hard, but for whatever reason wasn't quite working for him tonight. Kvech and Bomber just brilliant... After PK pulled out I feared the worst so to end up with a good win was a massive bonus. After Emil, the only real Ippo rider to show much fight was Jenkins
  15. Don't think we'll see Ben Cook as he is already expecting a 28 day ban. Be interesting to see if Doyle turn up. Either way, it's gonna be another hard meeting that we need to win to keep play off hopes alive - will be a handful of points either way, hopefully we can sneak it again....
  16. Sensible idea...could even extend to a second ride if RS is injured in first ride to make up their minimum 3 rides. British speedway though, so will never happen. Clearly Ashton wasn't in a good place from his Glasgow match last week. Should have put his hand up and sat out last nights meeting, allowing stars to get a replacement
  17. Technically it probably wasn't -1 as he 'injured' his shoulder allowing Kvech to ride in heat 8 so more than evened itself out I'll take 6 points. 8 to 10 would have been better, but at least it's a lead. Hope the rain doesn't cause a call off till later in the season when doyle and Thompson are potentially back - as that will make our life a little bit harder - although Ben would hopefully be back as well...
  18. Lawson goes to no. 1 in June. Kvech drops to reserve. Ben is still 5th in averages, worst place he could be as limits r/r options
  19. Dunno what I was looking at last night, can't see it now! I blame the wine ...
  20. Craig Cook made a rapid recovery and rode tonight....
