  1. Poole ride their luck again, with another side turning up with a guest and a missing reserve. Easy win tonight for Pool - the home fans wll be happy, they dont like close meetings .
  2. Ippo with gusts should have enough to get them over the line against Sheffield. They were outgated at Leicester last night, and expect more of the same - if you miss the gate at Foxhall - nul points. Except Sayfootdinoff and Doyley 🙂
  3. And to avoid any confusion ... I did clearly state the "weather gods have rescued Ipswich" . Ippo must have breathed a sigh of relief when they saw the weather forecast on Wednesday 🙂
  4. The weather gods have rescued the Witches.... the very very early call off showed that Ippo were certainly worried about losing the home leg tonight KL having the momentum going into tonights meeting.
  5. Ah that worked... ill try again . Pooles Ford/Muddleditch surprised me by choosing steady Starke whos peedway carer has peaked, against the much liked and entertaining Fooord who surely is an improving rider . Maybe Ford didnt like the way Vincent splet his name ?
  6. Test post...... seems my posts aremt being delivered to the forum
  7. One has to question whether this compulsory "rising star" in the PL is actually a good thing ? Seems to me "rising stars" are just a bunch of riders that clubs are forced to track one per side. When they flop clubs are lumbered wiht having to pick another "rising star" replacement. All sounds like forcefeeding these youngsters into the PL whether they want to or not. The good ones would have probably got their chances anyhow. Does "rising star" status actually benefit anybody - other than theclubs who get a cheap number 7. ?

  9. At least the Poole fans have some excitement of close results this season . Kerrey and Starkey have both been around long enough to show why they are where they are in their speedway careers?. Seems the boy Cookie is missing his brother this season ? Both Foordie and Hagger have shown some form since leaving.
  10. I have said it before , daytime meetings on uk tracks are always a disaster . Track material just cannot hold enough water. A sunny or windy day and ithe track will be like a dusty road. The only track that I have seen raceable in daytime conditions was Arlington - where the late Bob Dugard literally flooded the track before start time and the track material used had good water retention.
  11. What a load of moaning minnies. So let’s state the obvious. Track was the same for both teams ? Ref was rubbish. Always the case for a losing away side. Makes a refreshing change to see Poole with a pretty average team so far this season, losing a few matches. And as I said earlier Dont worry lads, you will win the home leg comfortably.
  12. O fansmust be hoping for an early return of Doyle. Their management seem keen to use R/R as per last season which was not a success. Old Doyle really is injury prone in his later speedway career. Always forceful, he just isn’t quite the rider he once was and sadly seems to come off worse in these racing incidents. It would be sad to see Ippo denied the p.off championship a second year due to injuries to Doyle and others.
  13. Daytime meetings in the UK are a waste of space. Never ever remember a good one in a lot of years watching speedway. &nbsp The track “material “ just doesn’t hold the moisture. It’s either a dust bowl or verging on waterlogged ( like Landshut SGP)
  14. Sorry Rich but in my experience of Grass Track meetings from some years ago, the top riders just took the mickey out of the qualifying heats, playing the system by taking it easy in the qualifying heats. There was no point in them racing flat out until the last races of the meetings. Seems its still the same. The SGP seem also to be following the same route.
  15. Agree with midland red. A rider finishing 10th in the scorechart after his scheduled rides (scoring say just 6 points) could win the SGP by 2 good wins in the last chance qualifier and the final. How ridiculous is that ? Maybe they should copy the Formula 1 circus and introduce different grades of tyre , soft , medium and hard, that have to be used in at least one race each. Grasstrack meetings used to have this silly idea effectively devaluing the qualifying heats, with canny top riders deliberately taking their time saving their motors until the "last chance" and the final 🙂 Winner takes all.
  16. Ah yes just like me riding my Motorcycle on the motorway at 70 mph in the rain. Done that more than a few times. With al the technology riders now have , dirt deflectors, tear offs, roller film visors surprised that " visibility" is still an issue to call off a meeting. Track was waterlogged would do me ... unless Belle Vue circuit has suddenly sprouted a roof it gets waterlogged like any other shale surface.
  17. Oh by the way, Poole have Cooper ready to race
  18. Serious thought needs to given to the team building rules in 2026, as the team strengths in PL 2025 are so unequal. With so few teams you would imagine it wouldn’t be difficult to grade riders and share them around equally? Admittedly in this sport injury is an ever present risk, but some of the starting line ups looked under strength from the opening parade.
  19. So BelleVue, Ipswich Leicester and Sheffield in the Play offs. When does the KO Cup continue?
  20. Pantomime season. 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
