Professional terrestrial broadcasters and the BSN streaming service must be wetting themselves about the amateur production. This is doing the sport no favours added to the lack of promotional work with the general media outlets and what can you expect. A handful of hardy supporters might be following this but this presentation will do nothing to attract new bums on seats. Why cannot those in charge employ professionals and stop the dross dabbling in something they know nothing about. It is a great form of entertainment let down by a bunch of morons.

Other than the normal speedway websites, the world at large seems to know nothing of last nights event. Out of curiosity I went on the Manchester Evening News site and did not notice any report, did a search on Dan on the BBC website and the only story I could find was 2018 when he had equipment stolen. Such a shame that not even the GP is properly promoted with WB behind it. What a sad state.

It needs a restructure with each round being made up of the best riders capable of mixing it. Wright is not off them mark whereas some others are way out of it. Make these rounds qualifiers and then take the top twenty points holders compete over two final rounds. To spice domestic speedway in the UK introduce the sprint, just a thought so that you get an evenings entertainment in addition to the leagues meeting except use the sprint race wins as a u k championship qualifier.

An article in this weeks’ speedway star about this with the 84 trust members expected to vote on joining before the end of June with a provisional date of the 22nd June. Will still require inspection of track by Nora. The stadium owners have offered up to nine Saturday nights as well as practice sessions on Sundays.

Extraleague Round 13 Fri/Sun 25th/27th July

If I won the lottery I would make an offer to Bartosz to ride for Ipswich which he would find difficult to refuse. He would rejuvenate UK speedway in one stroke and put bums on seats as did Gollob. -

Feel for the home team but at least every rider on both sides gives 100% and chases the points. A lesson for others around Europe. -

Another good performance by Bartosz. He is getting close to competing for my favourite Polish riders, namely Lord Gollob, Baron Hampel and now Sir Bartosz. This weekend could see him rise through the rankings. -

The way he approaches meetings you are right. This weekend is a good opportunity for Kurtz and Bewley and possibly one or two others as Belle Vue can be a leveller. Hopefully a great weekend of racing. -

I was referring to that race and when you think that he needs to be on top of his game this weekend, he is not holding back and still chasing points when in reality many in his position could simply go through the motions when chasing the bigger prize. He is a class act and takes calculated risks and if only you had a few more in the GP like him. Sunday night with his race against Emil was a fine example and he got away with it. All in a days work. -

Bartosz is not taking any prisoners. Great race and not holding back. Be interesting to see how he gets on this weekend. -
Agree, poor crowd compared to a Polish league match and the racing is not at the same level. This not a good advert for speedway which in this country is in its knees.and probably should be kept under wraps until those in charge Learn how to put on a decent form of entertainment. Stop the riders dictating how many aspects of the sport are run and get on with entertaining the paying punter.

Totally agree and I just wish that the wider public could see the sport is this light with split second decisions on powerful machines with no brakes. It takes skill and not many sports can match it. Today in Poland you have seen riders crash at high speed and get up and back on the bike in the rerun. Either they are mad or calculated risk takers, whichever, I appreciate the effort and you can ask for no more. -

Maybe that is right but the GPs do not have the best riders in the world competing, they have a random selection of a nations best riders brought together under the banner of a world title competition. It possibly needs to go back to a qualifying system with the top points scorers from the qualifiers meeting in a semi final and then a final. That way you could have as many nations as you like taking part but the cream of the best riders would appear on the top stage. I am sure many on here and those in charge could come up with a formula and bring some life back into what should be a prestigious finale and spread the meetings across Europe and beyond. It just takes a little imagination. -

If you look at the various angles shown in the rerun clips it seems close but I do not believe they actually made contact. Professional foul maybe, still it adds to the drama and oh how you would like to see this calibre of league meeting in the UK. Great meeting. -

Talking to taxi drivers from and to the airport in Krakow they have grown up using grass track and speedway bikes on the many practice tracks that are available and surprisingly those I spoke to on a recent trip to Poland were well aware of the current speedway riders and BM as well as a few others which shows that the sport has some following amongst Joe Public. Not sure the reciprocal situation would arise in the UK.
