PSC • Swindon Robins v Ipswich Witches • Easter Monday

Will you two just get a room and let us get back to the thread about tonights meeting. Bellego needs to put in a good performance against his parent club tonight after his non showing at Swindon. I think the management replaced him last week in his last outing as they thought Belle Vue would put in a TS in that race, but strangely they left it until the last race they could use it in. -

Couldn't believe when Danny was announced for heat 15 as he wasn't nominated as one of the four for heat 14. Should've been Krystian & Jake in 15. Hawkins was joking before heat 14 that the supporters had a good record in picking heat 14 riders, score 9-3 before last night, maybe he should let them pick heat 15 as well. -

Haven’t been to Swindon for quite a few years but I think when the tracks settles and a few patches sorted it will be a decent track. Some good races tonight, not many passes on first two bends but that is the new part of the track. Onto Ipswich they got better as the meeting went on, well some did. I’m glad we have decent reserves as they were the only ones scoring early in the meeting. Bomber was superb after falling asleep at the gate in heat one. David Bellego said he wanted to move to a smaller track, maybe he should’ve stayed at Swindon as it is a small track now and he was absolute pants. Danny still seems to be lacking speed. Kristian after hitting the tapes in his first race improved and did his job. Lawson not at the races. Don't know how Batchelor got man of the meeting, should’ve been Lampart. Now to wait for Thursday for the return fixture to see how Swindon cope with our little track. -

Looks like it’s Swindon v the reserves. The top five need to pull their fingers out and get their gating gloves on -

Not a good start bomber must have given them a two bike start before he left the tapes -
I think you have been banging your head against the wall too much as you keep repeating yourself

Could understand with KP missing Leicester as Saturdays are not a Premiership race night, but Thursdays are so why is he missing this meeting. It shouldn't clash with Poland.
-
At least we are starting with a couple of challenge matches this season, finally!
-
Never I know how much you love your visits to Foxhall.
-
It's a bit strange when Peterborough supporters laugh at this when if Harris wasn't ejected from their team he would've been their number 1.

I don't see why any rider should get a reduction. They have an average and now you are giving teams an advantage the more British riders you have in a team. With the state of speedway and the cost cutting more teams will opt for home based riders so no need to reduce averages. Also, how do they work out rolling averages with the reductions or do they use existing averages.

Steve Worrall already signed for Belle Vue.
-
At least you have a decent number 1, we haven't at Ipswich so at the moment we will beat you to the wooden spoon.
-
Not exactly the inspiring signing we were hoping for, not looking good but it's a case of wait and see if Louis can spring a rabbit or two out of the hat.

Do you really think Tungate & Auty would be team mates!
-
Do you really think that Chris Holder would go near any teams associated with Buster.
-
Maybe Martin Vaculik fancies another shot at Premier League after his very short stint this season.
-
Do you think we have to wait until KL complete their team before we get the left overs.
-
Maybe when Chris finally walks away from Ipswich he could be the man to start the independent body to control speedway. No ties to any club.
-
Always thought that this wouldn't go ahead as it would be almost 4 weeks from the last meeting staged and people probably wouldn't go. You only need 12 riders for this meeting so an ideal time to bring some new riders in to have a look at them as there would be only 3 Ipswich riders available, Coty, Nico & Cam as I wouldn't think they would risk Drew in this meeting.

Scorpions v Ipswich 24.08.18 SGBC
Bash replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
So Ipswich have thrown the whole towel in now and completely given up. Season over in three weeks, will be glad to see the back of this season and hopefully we will have more fixtures next season as this year has been a joke. -
Wow that was a surprise not. How the management could put a team out like that and expect to win. 5 heat wins at home with no number 1 or 2 at home how do you expect to win. Thank God for Captain Lambert otherwise the defeat would have been a lot more. Man of Match Tom Bacon. Apart from Garcia and Kemp (as you can't expect much as these meeting are just for experience) the team was an embarrassment. Surprised Ritchie didn't say how proud he was for taking Peterborough to a last heat decider, but we didn't deserve anything from this meeting, outgated & outfought. Well only 3 home matches to go until our season is over as can't see them running the 16 lapper.

What a complete and utter balls-up, can't see anything but an away win tonight. Is that the best guest they could get replacing a 8.90 man with a 6.30. See our injury jinx strikes again when we are using RR before the meeting has even started. If they had got 2 guests in the first place we would've least had one heat leader, they won't ever learn.
