  1. On the BSPA site they have Ipswich down for a reserved fixture on the 15th March, but this is not on the Ipswich website. They should really try to put a meeting on this date to give the riders some track time on the new track, we don't need to go into the season cold like last year and start with a loss.
  2. Disappointed we are starting without a challenge meeting, if King's Lynn couldn't make it what about Rye House. Tough start going straight into league meeting against Sheffield with only press & practice for track time. Quite a few Saturday meetings and one on a Wednesday, maybe this ones on Sky?
  3. Does Elvin King know anything about Ipswich as his report in the Speedway Star continually refers to us signing Kyle Howarth not Newman.
  4. Getting back to the Ipswich team Kai Huckenbeck on a 5.14 average would be worth a go. Going back to one of the teams mentioned earlier what average would Nikolas Porsing come in on as he has a 20 match elite league average of 4.99 which converts to 6.99, but his premier league average of 6.58 is based on 3 home & 6 away meetings does this count? Does anyone know which is used as isn't there a minimum home & away meetings to get a proper average so does his pl average count.
  5. With Lakeside not competing at the moment (hope they do at some level) how about Adam Ellis, not sure what average he would have but maybe sign him as an asset.
  6. Yes as a straight swap for Risager.
  7. Maybe he is the re-incarnation of Alljack, and we don't need that again.
  8. Don't want to see Risager anywhere near the team next season, never performs at the crunch time of the season like heat 14 last night. Gino has a three year visa according to the speedway star interview, but what average would he come back on? If Hume is at reserve wouldn't mind seeing Ashley Morris back as his partner, as he never let us down and was surprised he didn't get a team spot this season.
  9. Well the 2016 season came to a close last night with a disappointing result to finish with. To finish the season with a defeat and low scoring reserves like how we started the season. On a positive note at least this thread is started a month later than the 2016 was last year, proved how well the team done this year. Now to wait a few weeks to see what the agm throws up to see what sort of team we can fit in.
  10. Not impossible with our home form and with no tacticals allowed should be close.
  11. Right, as this thread is about the speedway tonight. I think we should have enough to beat Newcastle, if they ride how they have been at home a 10-15 point win should be on but any win will do even by 2 points to secure the playoff position and knock those Panthers out.
  12. You sound like Tatum & Pearson complaining about the restarts . Doesn't help when you have a ref who holds them at the tapes far too long. I bet Chris Gay has the most reruns out of all of the refs because of this.
  13. More like Chris "Hold The Tapes Too Long" Gay. Most of the tapes were broken by helmet peaks, except heat 14 when Joe went through them but only got a warning!!!
  14. The same one I would get rid of re my earlier post. Replace him with Rasmus Jensen.
  15. The track looked a lot smoother this week than last meeting. Workington never started this meeting and looked like a team who cant win away from home and never attacked the track like the home boys. Lets hope that meetings like this don't raise our averages too much so we can track this team next season, minus Risager who just doesn't get any better and cost us getting 70 when losing heat 14. All in all a very poor display from Workington, the worst I've seen from a visiting team in years with the highlight being Danyon passing for fun and a truly deserved man of the match award. He seemed to be more relaxed as the meeting went on and got confidence from the heat win in heat 2.
  16. Same here will be going both days.
  17. I think the refs take to much into what is said about Sarj's starts and his reputation goes against him. Fair enough he moved on the first running of heat one last night, but so did Pijper as it was him who caught his peak on the tapes but only Sarj gets warned.. In the rerun Sarj didn't move at all but the ref excluded him for jumping. There were more jump starts in the following races but the ref let them go, no consistencies from the refs but only going on reputation when Sarj has good reactions at the start.
  18. Connor seemed to be turning his bike too sharp mid bend and locking up, maybe riding like he's at Mildenhall, but got more used to the track as the meeting progress culminating in a great ride in heat 12 to cap it off.
  19. Had a crash in second ride and had blood pouring from nose. Great to see to scoring reserves last night, just what we have needed all season, capped off with a great ride by Connor in heat 12. To the Massif, I think the wind changed direction at one point last night and just about heard the bells from the home straight, I hope you didn't upset the surrounding people. At least you get the recognition you deserve from the presenters now. Will we hear the cowbells at the fours?
  20. Well the test will be if I can hear your cowbells in the home straight stand as I sit directly opposite the massif.
  21. No we are still 11th on points for & against, but only just.
  22. But Harris has had 14 rides at the national stadium and has only scored 16 paid 18 whereas Danny has had 10 rides and scored 23. So it is between the two for the final place as Woofy, Cook & Lambert should start.
  23. You have to look at column C which comes into effect on 1st July which puts our total at 41.44 which means we have 1.06 to play with.
  24. With the new averages out for July Ipswich's combined team average is 41.44, surely we should be looking at replacing Paco who has now gone down to 3.01 with a reserve up to an average of 4.07. We can't keep conceding a 1-5 in the reserves race every meeting.
  25. Best of luck to them, but I don't think we will be retaining that trophy. Shame we can't use Danny due to Cardiff. Have to feel sorry for Newcastle as well as they have both of their top two named as reserves for Cardiff so they have their third & fourth average riders at Somerset.
