  1. Just a reminder, this thread is about track work and information regarding the match v Kent. Whilst peoples personal views on the promotion are there own, please leave the thread for what it is meant to be about. Awaiting Malcolm's next track update with interest.
  2. Going back to the text of this thread. It is now Wednesday so from what I have read, work should be well underway on the track. Malcolm, when is the next progress report going to be issued? More importantly do I need to get filled up with petrol for a trip to Stoke on Saturday or should I use my fuel to go to Buxton on Sunday?
  3. In view of what appears to be the ever changing situation of fixtures in the MDL, would it be possible to provide the updated fixture picture and for that matter results on a weekly basis?
  4. Malcolm, please update us with the track situation. It appears there were Stocks their last Saturday and another fixture due this weekend. Is there any chance of the fixture on the third of May taking place? A further statement is due.
  5. Thanks for that Mimmo, for some reason the Northern Junior league does appear to be a secret society. Does anyone have any news of fixtures for Northside?
  6. Any news of the line-up for Saturday?
  7. I am a little confused, as Mr Hoggard has left the Sheffield promotion then how can he continue as a member of the BSPA?
  8. Is that not the correct name of the "National League"? - Not that development would effect Cradley.
  9. Looking at the fixtures, there appear to be only eight fixtures listed at Buxton this summer. With the news that the MDL will have ten teams plus a knockout cup, the Buxton junior team will have a minimum of ten home matches. Out of interest, how will all these be fitted in?
  10. Looks to me like the wool is firmly being pulled over our eyes. Few riders, a lot already signed elsewhere. No new owners announced. Most importantly no fence news,am I correct, does no fence equal no racing. Still at least I can go and watch the Eagles who are doing a carvery ticket.
  11. Can anyone explain who at the BSPA sanctioned that Coventry could stage the MDL final? Can anyone explain who at the BSPA told Stoke they can not ride in the MDL final at Coventry? Is speedway just a complete joke? After Stock Cars at Brandon on boxing day, will the track be fit anyway?
  12. Can anyone list the tracks that need to install these fences and also update the progress on fund raising. Also which tracks have actually ordered the fences as I assume that if they are not ordered soon, they may not be delivered/installed before the new season starts.

  14. As the Tigers look they are signing riders, what is the news on the air fence that will be required for next season?
  15. Should anyone ever believe anything from Stoke ?!?! Should anyone ever believe anything from Stoke ?!?!
  16. Thankyou for your input Elephantman, I have read the other thread and agree about more evidence being needed. However as a regular visitor to Sheffield, I am interested in what is happening there. Clearly it is no fence, no racing next year so going back to my original point, does anyone know how Sheffield are raising the required funds?
  17. Travelling around and reading this forum and various press, it appears most tracks are fund raising for airfences. However of those without, I can see no fundraising at Sheffield. Does anyone know if they have a sugar daddy and their fence is sorted, or is the silence for any other reason?
  18. Can anyone give a few advance details for this meeting? Start time, Spectator facilities, Cost, Entries, Format and amount of races. Together with anything else that may be helpful. Thanks in advance.
  19. "Team Manager" Malcolm Vasey - even a guest team manager, along with the "team", should Kings Lynn be allowed to continue in the National League!!!!!!!!!
  20. Agree, Copenhagen was expensive, but a great place to visit, Parken was excellent. An article in the "English" newspaper whilst we were there said that the Danish FA were looking for other venues for Denmark soccer internationals as they were paying Parken an average of DKK 150 (£18) per ticket to hire the venue!! If the capacity for speedway is 29000, I would have thought the crowd on Saturday was nearer 20000, the place did not appear half empty.
  21. Has anyone got a link to anything with the race times on for Parken. They were not announced in English on Saturday (or possibly Danish - but I could not understand that).
  22. Sounds like a great night out, if only I wasn't in Copenhagen.
