  1. Is there a date and venue for this meeting (Rye House website lists next meeting as spring 2015)
  2. Does anyone know if there is a meeting at Hammarby the night before the Swedish GP. If so, what are the details.
  3. Just another thought, if this is to be a National Centre, one would have expected there to be plans to include an 80cc track etc to help develop the future. All I can see is a 3g Rugby League pitch. Is the future in Rugby League??
  4. Looks to have shrunk since the original grand plans and with the new capacity can not in all reality be a nation speedway stadium. There appears no space for increasing the capacity and know where for the paying public to park. Why not just move the whole operation to Buxton.
  5. What time is the curfew as the match appears to have ended at 9.30pm
  6. This is confusing MK Knights/BSPA say new track in MK, but no details, can we have some details? MK Knights website issue a statement that they are confused that their logo is used without them knowing anything. Is there any connection from the right hand to the left hand. In view of their success, have the new national speedway stadium in Manchester constructors being involved as consultants.
  7. Another great win for the Kings and another great opportunity to use the number eight without effecting the result not taken. The future of British Speedway is not looking good with promotions like Kent's. Give youth a chance or kill the sport.
  8. Looking at Kent's win tonight I note R/R scored 11+1 and helped Kent to 69 points. From the updates it would appear that in a lot of heats the quality of racing was not good. Would tonight not have been the perfect chance to give the number 8 all the four rides. I am sure that the result would not have been affected, indeed the racing may have improved and Uncle Len may have saved a few bob on points money.
  9. Can anyone from the Workington Management explain with clarity the situation for today's cancellation. Can they also provide any good reason I should consider making any further trips to Workington this season (round trip 250 miles), my last meeting there ran 9 heats until there was a medical problem.
  10. As a first time visitor at the Cradley match (and being honest and without wishing to upset.) The stadium and viewing is excellent, clearly pit viewing would add to the evening. The racing was more than acceptable for NL. The referee had no chance with all the r/r and stoppages added to the rules on added time between races. My only problem was with the monotone announcer who kept babbling on telling the crowd about what they had already seen or in some cases stating the Bleep obvious. Keep the announcer for the official announcements, very good and clear but get a presenter to liven things up, the atmosphere was flat.
  11. Must agree with everything above, especially the guide we had in the Samara/Togliatti area. The crowd did disappear and it was very interesting to note that all local advertising stated the meeting started at 7pm local time, I rather think that had it showed the real time of 8pm then there would have been a lot more spaces around the stadium.
  12. Can the Referee not exclude the rider for "delaying the start" although this would need a ref with balls in a final.
  13. If my memory is correct, Sheffield v Castleford was postponed on both the 1st & 8th of May. In view of the above award and the 2014 rules, is a result to be declared for this match.
  14. I do not understand all the smillees etc but what are the current odds at Ladbrokes for so much as ever a brick being laid at the NSS. I do not understand all the smillees etc but what are the current odds at Ladbrokes for so much as ever a brick being laid at the NSS.
  15. Yippee, a night on the ale in Berwick !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where are we all meeting?
  16. Another problem now is micro climates which are very much in evidence at a certain track not far from me. It does not matter how sunny the day is, behind locked doors is a waterlogged track!!!!!!!!!
  17. Sorry to question the rain but with my local track having its own micro climate (normally behind locked doors) I thought I would check. The rain arrived here a couple of hours later.
  18. One might be being cynical, but is there much rain in the Stoke area at the moment??
  19. Three guests Two Rider Replacement A chance to give youth a opportunity but no, win at all costs - What is the point of the National DEVELOPMENT League ? Mod Note: Can you put actual dates rather than 'today' in topic titles. That way people can always trace the topic in the future. Thanks
  20. With Scunthorpe's revised line up announced, is there any news on Glasgow's patched up team for this match?
  21. Why is this fixture to be rerun? As it has been cancelled twice (1st & 8th May) does this (The rules on the new NJL format and fixtures were not made by the NJL, they were imposed on us by the BSPA . Due to fixture congestion over the last few seasons, mainly in the MDL, the BSPA insisted that after two attempts to run a fixture , a result must be declared. As the Castleford v Berwick match was rained off twice and then ran into the dreaded curfew problem a result had to be declared. None of the teams wanted this but we are dictated to by the BSPA.) apply? If so, what is the result.
  22. So, despite my asking, no answers towho these observers are. For information and to help me get a job, with the help of the open window I have been advising referees at Buxton for years.
