Tbf the team needed a big hitter or two to come in just to be competitive against the rest of the league’s heat leaders.

Middlesbrough Tigers 2026
Islander15 replied to Fortythirtyeight's topic in National League Speedway
3 very strong heat leaders and it’ll be interesting to see how Sadler gets on. -
Yep they’ve made a mess of it! And previously the British reduction wasn’t taken off before doubling. But now probably depends if that club needs an extra 0.20 or not 😂
-
Absolutely correct. The points limit is set far too high this season.
-
Mulford has missed a season so it should be his converted Championship average at 8.74. After 2 seasons in the Premiership, should the NL really be the place that Mulford has to fall back into?
-
He’s outgrown the NL now really. But with such a high points limit, it’s no surprise that Oxford wanted him back.

Mods, can this be pinned please?

Congratulations to Marky_Mark who is this year’s winner! His team was Scott, Simpson, Foord, McGurk, Hodder, Summers & Rushen. A few people got caught out by picking a rider who averaged lower for 1 club than another, like Rushen at KL compared to Leicester. However not picking Rushen at all was a huge mistake. Only 3 people picked Simpson who doubled his average and only 1 person picked Etherington who also doubled his average 1. Marky_Mark 60.86 2. Szkocjasid 57.03 3. Millersfan444 56.14 4. I’ll calculate this when the final averages are out, after the final fixtures on Wednesday.

2025 Torun SON and SON 2

Any links in English please? -
Well it’s good to see the Buxton name back, whatever their nickname is 👍 I’ll have to make a point of travelling to the Peak District next summer to take in a meeting (with my coat!).

When did ‘any other reason’ get removed from the NL facility rulebook?

Scunthorpe Vs Oxford 20/06/25
Islander15 replied to Mr Bee's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Well Jenkins scored 13 last season and he got 9+1 including heat 15 in the KOC fixture earlier this season! -
Kent Eagles V Plymouth Centurions 15/06/2025
Islander15 replied to M.D's topic in National League Speedway
It’s a crazily late start to the season for Plymouth. No surprise really that some of their riders tailed off at the end of the meeting. -
The downfall started when failing to replace Lambert with Declan in heat 12… Oh and the super heat. What a pointless race! Just let it be a draw!

Belle Vue Colts vs Leicester Lion Cubs
Islander15 replied to szkocjasid's topic in National League Speedway
It turned out to be a Leicester win, but only really due to Rushen’s heroics! But I agree with your comments on Belle Vue. Their double change looks to have made them weaker with Shimelt unfortunately pushed into the top 5, but no flying reserve behind him to send him to reserve later on. Kingston is inconsistent too after his long spell out. Does anyone know the reason for Harry McGurk leaving the team? Is it just the points limit or did he quiet as well? -
Yep they posted that after I posted and after the averages were updated on the BSPL website. But it’s not a direct 1 rider change is it? It’s sort of a double swap to get back under the limit.
-
Still no official mention by the club of Foord’s signing, Roynon’s release or Harris’ reassessment either. All I can think is by not announcing it themselves, they can’t be directly questioned on it at the time.

Jack Kingston & Harry Fletcher replace Wirtzfeld & Harry McGurk.

Are there anymore entries before the season starts properly?
