  1. None of you are putting King in your team, surely he's good value on 8.84?
  2. Would hope not seems to have trouble even getting to the starting gate, let alone racing That's harsh Waco. He won his first race in his last meeting last season.
  3. I imagine you'll see Adam Sheppard, seeing as he's your asset.
  4. Rye apply to join the league next year too! http://www.speedway365.com/archives/11819
  5. I hope they do have another sponsor lined up as it seemed that CTA wanted to carry on sponsoring!
  6. Perks has knee ligament damage and a prolapsed disc in his back. He says he hopes to be fit for next year but suggests he might not be ready for March!
  7. Do you guys think Cookie will be back? He looks a steal on 9.30 but I think Doyle showed what can be done this year if you focus on racing abroad. I know that wasn't his original plan.
  8. I think there's quite a few EL snobs that think at this level there's kids wobbling around at the back and they can't race!
  9. This is a good race https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtdW5vyYvjw&sns=fb&app=desktop and the Heathens pairing is Clegg and Greaves too so they show that age doesn't matter!
  10. One thing I don't think you can call the NL is tame, and you can look at my signature to see that I've watched a fair bit of NL round the country! It may be a couple of seconds slower, but in reality when you're stood there you don't actually realise that. The lads still put in as much effort, and I'm tempted to say more effort than the egos in the EL. That means that sometimes you'll get more fallers and more tapes exclusions but there certainly isn't a lack of passing, especially when you get some of the younger guys who can't gate (Clegg and Perry spring to mind), still winning races. As to the division between riders in races, I'd say that the league is a lot more competitive than it was a few years ago and it probably will be even more so next year, but even then when you look at the names on paper they are nearly all closer than some of the divides between the EL fast trackers and EL second strings, but in reality you get that at all levels.
  11. You've signed Adam Sheppard as an asset, does that mean he'll be in an NL team next year??
  12. I've already started this thread. Lakeside said they wanted to entry a team a couple of weeks ago http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?s=8f32ff8cc2f2414f0f8be39248974564&showtopic=77892&view=getnewpost
  13. The AGM is in November now, as opposed to January.
  14. No-one is signed yet. Rob hinted that Ryan is coming back and they need accommodation for a foreigner. Like the outsider, I'm guessing it's an Aussie and it sounded like he's new to the league. I read an article recently though and Poole want Jack Holder to ride for them next year, obviously it depends on the league structure though!
  15. Last season he averaged 7.24, and this season 7.04.
  16. How about 1. Steve Worrall 7.54 2. Ash Birks 5.68 3. David Howe 7.29 4. Ryan Douglas 6.73 5. Richie Worrall 7.32 6. Max Clegg 3.00 / Josh Bates 3.53 7. Paul Starke 4.79 / Stefan Nielsen 4.34 Realistically though I think Auty will be in the team, but imo he's always going to only be a 7 point man at PL level.
  17. Second biggest meeting of the season, after the one coming up at the EWR of course Teams as announced on Wednesday are: Buxton Hitmen 1. Liam Carr 8.00 R/R 2. Tony Atkin 7.54 3. Adam Extance 4.85 4. Tom Woolley 3.47 5. Ryan Blacklock 4.16 6. Stefan Farnaby 3.00 7. Paul Bowen 3.00 Team Manager: Jayne Moss Scunthorpe Stags 1. Sam Chapman 5.11 2. Steve Jones R/R 4.83 3. Danno Verge 3.36 4. Ellis Perks 3.00 5. Arron Mogridge 4.34 6. TBA 3.00 7. Ryan MacDonald 3.00 8. Cameron Hoskins 3.00
  18. What about: 1. Stead 9.96 2. Hall 4.28 3. Proctor 6.27 4. Wilson 5.03 5. Allen 8.93 6. Bates 3.53 7. Covatti 4.21 Total: 42.21
  19. More good news for the league: Lakeside are going to send a representative to the league AGM with a strong possibility of entering a team including Kingston & Owen! http://www.lakesidehammers.co/content/?p=8635
  20. I knew the NL was possibly on the cards but not an application being made in September. Great news for the league though! http://www.eastbourneeagles.co/news.php?extend.656
  21. Unfortunate that his success affects his ability to become employed but I think you may be right, and it may be the reason why his PL scores have dropped off slightly but his EL & NL haven't!
  22. Is Palovaara going to do enough meetings to get a new average this season?
