Only to people in the know.

Anyone know anything about Alex Spooner? Kents reserve until Anders comes into team, then No 8.
-
Or could Matt rearrange a fixture just for me ?
-
We are staying down in Dorset at the end of April. Myself, the wife, sister and brother-in-law. I thought, great,I can pop along to see Poole on the 26th April. NO FIXTURE! Shame.
-
I understand Kent should be receiving their first draft fixture list about now. So it will be about a week or so after that they are published.
-
Good to know the NL is being run very professionally ?
-
Good question. The other Leagues fixtures are out,so why no NL? Season starts soon ????

RUBBISH NEWS ?????????? Coventry still have a team !!! Ask Oxford,Reading,Wimbledon etc etc supporters what RUBBISH NEWS REALLY IS.
-
Hopwood it is. No surprise, but great signing on his present average.
-
Really shows what a mess Speedway is in when he spoke about League Sponsorship. So they have spoken to BIG companies etc but still NO sponsors. As NP said Speedway has been on Sky for 15 odd years, yet still nothing. And I thought he was very corny the way he spoke about attendance figures (or should I say) lack of them.

Your Team And What You Expect In 2017...
blueherb777 replied to Speedway28's topic in National League Speedway
Kent Kings. 1. Bowen - One of the best No 1`s in the NL.Should be able to keep his average up.Will he get ENOUGH support from rest of team is the question. 2. Clifton - No doubt suffered from injuries last season and I think found it harder than he expected on his comeback. No doubt able to increase his average if learned a lot from last season. 3. Stoneman - Probably the big risk in the team as this year as he is a Heat leader and is expected to score well.Still young and interesting to see if he continues in the right direction. 4. Thomas - Really made great strides last season for someone so young.Trouble is he will be in main body of team so will find things harder.Great prospect though. 5. Hopwood - (Nailed on signing) Absolute steal on his average. Can put a couple of points on that.Key will be if he can score well throughout season. 6. Andrews - Still very young and will have learnt a lot last season.Got incentive of proving people wrong and seems very determined from his SS article. 7. Rowe - Kid straight in the deep end.If shows same desire and ability as Thomas could surprise. Overall I cannot see this team being anywhere near as good as last season.Ayres and Shanes are a VERY big act to follow.I expect the team to be around 6th - 7th unless the youngsters in the team really kick on. Then again NP predicted Kings to finish bottom last season ! -
As Kent are at the moment Hopwood is a MUST sign rider. He can easily put 2 points on his average. And more importantly a great support for Bowen. p.s. I just looked at Bens twitter and he recently retweeted a Kings Sponsorship tweet... a bit of a clue ?
-
How many points do Kent have left to play with? I presume Hopwood is still favourite.
-
Whoops !
-
Agree that he should be No 8. He can then be given rides, does not put him under pressure by going straight in the team and it worries me he is so young for the hurly burly of NL Speedway. And another point. What if the rider who is used before him does really well, scoring points. Do you say..... thanks but bye ????
-
Well said and the situation at reserve before he can ride is bizarre Surely the early meetings are used to get the team going/gel. How can that happen if you use a stand in and then change it ??? Again we have a Mr Silver - my way or no way.
-
This leaves some questions. 1) Who riders at reserve until 9th May? 2) This signing shows what a poor decision signing Bowen early was. 3) Not saying this KID does not have potential, but chucking him in team so young? 4) Should he not be in the junior League? 5) People are expected to pay good money to see a junior schooling/learning etc. Cannot see Kings challenging for top 4 with this team.IMHO.
-
I presume he is the number 8? Did not say on text, but as the team will have meetings before then ? Sorry just read Website .... in main team? Who riders at reserve before that?

Jack Kingston Will He Return.?

Birmingham Brummies 2017 Hat Trick
blueherb777 replied to ProudtobeaBrummie's topic in National League Speedway
With the massive success last season,Brum were bound to suffer this season. Saying that,I still think Brum will be challenging at the top of the League. -
Fair point. But investment in new equipment might help him bridge that gap.
-
1) Worst signing of season? No way. 2) I think we have done the Shanes situation,so move on. 3) If Hopwood signs will be an absolute steal on his average. 4) Candidate for wooden spoon???No way. Bowen one of best No 1`s in League,Thomas one of best youngsters around,Hopwood would put 2 points on his average, and Clifton-Stoneman-Andrews all capable of upping average. Must say the final reserve could be very important. With most teams now taking shape, has the look of a MUCH more competitive League this year than it was last year.
-
We all seem to agree Hopwood is a nailed on signing. Do not know why the Club do not just announce the signing. He will be a steal on his average. The KEY signing now will be the other reserve.
-
Hope Stoneman proves a good edition. He has been signed as a Heat leader, yet got his average from reserve. Also has had a lot of injuries over the last few years. But understand he has new equipment and keen to ride for the Kings. Be interesting how he adapts to Central Park.

Correct. Stoneman in.
